The ford 8N is about where i want it for the challenge version. Total part count for this unit is 1891, under the 2k parts limit for the agricultural challenge, with a planned extra version that will most likely be in the mid 2.5k region. Bellow are the fully list of features for this variant
features
fully accurate body and drivetrain unit
fully accurate 3 link rear hitch with vertical movement and the ability to tweak one side
fully detailed engine complete with: spark plugs, wiring, distributor, intake and exhaust, pulleys and belt, fan blade with radiator and hoses, bolt details, air intake, oil filter, fill cap, and dip stick, and a starter
fully modeled transmission and differential, with bolt detailing, with a working starter button
fully modeled front axle assembly with working mechanical steering, fully functional axle separation, fully accurate custom front wheels, and axle articulation
modeled fuel system with tank, fuel bowl, and line
accurate dash with voltage, oil pressure, and tacometer/speedometer gauge, accurate steering wheel with steering box complete with bolt detailing
fully working transmission with 5 gears, 4 forward and 1 reverse with accurate gearing with coding help from Linus
fully modeled and working brake system with working brake steer, pedals and linkage
fully modeled clutch assembly with linkage and a working clutch system
full start system with accurate throttle and operation with working clutch and gears
This by far is going to be my most detailed build ever and hopefully can take alot of what I have learned with this and improve on my next vehicles to come. As I have stated there will be an extra version that will have more details like working shifter, Ford logos on front cowling and rear fenders, and hopefully a few pieces of equipment. I'm planning to make a few hay related stuff like a possible early 60s hay rake, and a bailer, and possibly making a bush hog.
one of these has stood in our garage for longer than i've been alive
Oh my god, the detail on this thing makes my jaw drop. Insane work mate! T!
t, also, tag this account instead of my main account yaris because my main phone went kaput xd
@BMilan thanks, i appreciate it. Also kinda interesting how this is going to be the only 8n on the site. There was a 9n about 8 years ago but no other ford n series as far as I could tell.
@PapaKernels I can tell by the screenshots that it was certainly worth it.
@Solent hell yea. Not to many know how stout old tractors are. Can prolly stand for another 100.
@BMilan thanks brother! About a month full of working and pulling my hair lol. Hopefully can be somewhat worth it.
@Fiat133 10/4 👍
