Some planes have visual traits that make them look damn good. What do you like?
Be specific!
Swing wings? Strakes? Bubble canopies? Nose inlets? Spike inlets? Nose spike inlets? Dropping noses (e.g. Su-27)? Angular bodies (e.g. F-117)? Blended wings? Varying sweep leading edges? Varying sweep trailing edges (e.g. F-15)? Trailing tail supports (e.g. F-15)? Low inlets (e.g. Su-27)? Angled Inlets (e.g. Su-27)? Tilted inlets (e.g. Su-27)? Massive inlets (e.g. MiG-25)? Belly radiators (e.g. P-51)? Blunt covered radial engines (e.g. I-16)? Something else I didn't list at all?
Personally I am quite fond of the large body and inlets of the MiG-25, it's quite the imposing arrangement. While it's not my favourite, the smooth connection of the fuselage to the wings found on the F-16 also has a nice quality to it. The Tu-95's small fuselage and large wings give off a vibe I can't quite describe.
I love the triangular shape of the Me-262's fuselage and how it doesn't really have a clearly defined nose and tail, it just morphs along the entirety of the fuselage.
What's a trait you like?
@Michiganstatepolicethe2nd Duh. Not even like you're addressing multiple people.
yeah with further thought a single slab of text is better then multiple, seperated sentences
@Michiganstatepolicethe2nd Jesus Christ man learn how to use paragraphs. And two of your comments were duplicated.
I might have typed abit much
F-104 is just funny too look at in a pleasant way, big engine long body short wings and inlet cones
Sabre is the swept wings, stubby nose and nose intake with the little nub
F-15. Do i need to explain? Everything about the jet screams awesome sauce
Bubble canopies too
Mig-29 and su-27 is the sloped down nose, low intakes, wing shape and those neat little AOA generators
Mig-29 and su-27 is the sloped down nose, low intakes, wing shape and those neat little AOA generators
@Graingy radial engines, gull wings for radials, sleek design and dihedral wings for water cooled, belly radiators and mid engine are a bonus
@Michiganstatepolicethe2nd But what aspects?
I wasn't just asking for your favourite looking plane, I was asking what about them makes you think they look nice.
Ww2 era stuff is a mixed bag, everything looks pretty nice around that era
Early cold war, sabre and starfighter
Mig-29, su-27, su-57, f-15 and phantom all look awesome in my opinion, and the abrams is one of my favorite tanks alongside the t34 and m-47
@Graingy idk, mecha designers be cooking
@hpgbproductions Russia is very strange anime.
Now I'm curious, when did such aesthetics become common enough in anime for such a perception to form?
@Graingy in general i just like planes that look like they come from an anime
@Graingy eh, I just searched it up and it said strange/slanted. So idk lmao
@Randomplayer Your original comment was so poorly constructed I can't make sense of it.
I thought it was slanted music?
@Graingy this, this, this, this
@hpgbproductions It's literally Russian.
@Graingy the Su-47 is the most weeb plane to ever exist, followed by the F-15 S/MTD
On that topic, NASA should make a S/MTD mecha musume
@Fiat133 ... Ever heard that joke about the man in the flood waiting for God to save him, turning down people in boats and helicopters and whatnot in his insistence that the divine will be his salvation?
And then it turns out those rescuers were the salvation?
This reminds me of that.
@Graingy i knew, i just wasn't expecting it to give out so soon considering the amount of nailing down and taping on the roof that my parents did a few weeks ago as a temporary solution
@Fiat133 So... you knowingly placed it under a shoddy tile?
