Seriously. I need help.
I have projects I haven't touched in ages, maybe even teased, that I can't bring myself to complete them.
Especially bad when the techniques I used have since become obsolete. Usually that means it just gets abandoned, though in at least one case I know I'm gonna have to go back and overhaul it massively.
I am dreading the Archfiend...
Anyways, usually there will be some tedious step or issue I have trouble overcoming that stops me. Or I just get bored of it.
How do you people do it!?
How do you avoid the pitfalls of laziness and distraction!?
@Scrugy51 metabolizing
@Graingy I don't think I will build anything. I'll more so make an off topic post once in a while and just sort of exist
@Scrugy51 and so the cycle repeats.
I leave for a year and spontaneously come back
You underestimate the difficulty of drawing for those without the skills.
@hpgbproductions Hm, not generally applicable. Any ideas more accessible?
@Graingy you don't have to sketch perspectives, the most important things to sketch are axial projections for blueprints
@hpgbproductions Hm, not generally applicable. Any ideas more accessible?
I don’t.
@Graingy sketching
@hpgbproductions But how do you plan it?
SimplerPlanes?
@Graingy i can actually fully cancel a project to close it, but i only do that early on
Planning the design first prevents me from getting stuck
@hpgbproductions
That seems like a really poor idea in the face of technical issues. You don’t get burnt out ever?
Do planning before you start (read: convince yourself that it is a good idea even if it is not)
Embrace the way of the tism
Enforce a one project at a time rule, so you must complete a project to start something else that seems cooler. And if you lose interest in that other thing, it wasn't that cool anyway
@WisconsinStatePolice That sounds... sustainable.
I don’t
I use my homework
I don't want to do my homework, so I procrastinate by playing simpleplanes
This method has worked to make some of my best builds, and usually is the fastest method. Just make sure you actually do your homework/studying eventually. Also works before bed if you don't want to deal with whatever is the next day.
Also if its an issue with something in the game not looking right or not working, i download similar builds by other people and dissect them to learn how they did it.
@Graingy fun :D
@RB107 I see. I really need to start taking notes on people...
@Boeing727200F Liar
idk it just happens
@Graingy Someplace in galaxy named Indonesia
@RB107 ... What planet are you from?
usually when i got bored and left the building like for a month, i would just eat a chocolate and go back to building like nothing happened =D
