Went on a Campout.

Sorry if I have been gone without notice for a few days but I went on a super fun camping trip with my fellow boy scouts.

Something cool related to airplanes:
There were special activities at my campout. One of which was building rockets that you pump up to 70 PSI and then BOOM! They blast off. Some did well, some did... Not so well but when my troop came by the record for the camp out was 123 feet of distance. But I wanted to shatter that record with my troop. So me and one of my friends started cutting cardboard into a wing shape. I based them off of the F-22's Horizontal stabilizers and they looked good. Then another one of my buddies made a fuselage out of 2 liter bottles and duct taped them together. We went to the guy in charge and then filled the back of the fuselage (a 2 liter bottle) 50 percent with water. We then went to the launch pad and set it on the launcher. Another one pumped it up while we watched with anxiety about how far it would go. I cannot tell how fast my heart was beating to whatch something my whole troop worked on and what the look on their faces would be if it only went 2 feet or spun out of control. Then... BOOM! I looked up and I saw a dot disappearing into the clouds above and heard the crowd cheering in awe as the bottle rocket reentered eyesight and landed faaaaar away! We ran as fast as we could and saw the rocket lying on the ground. But to our surprise it was completely intact and still in flyable condition. We went back and awaited our results. 188 Feet! We had done it! And the whole troop started cheering! It was a very fun and exciting moment and one I will cherish for a long time.

@Umbreon heck yeah! I never would have done it if I didn't know that you have to put stabilizers as far back as you can. I will release a replica of that bottle rocket. Sound cool?
