I think it may be inevitable that as more and more users get more and more creative in their designs, especially with XML modding and more and more parts, Simple Planes will diverge farther apart between a mobile app and a PC-based simulation. I've tried to make sure my planes fly well on my mobile device, but that limits my downloads of others' planes as I'm hesitant to try out anything with more than 120 parts. If a player adds markings or heavily mods parts, I tend to avoid downloading on my mobile. At the same time, I spend 99% of my time with SP on my mobile as my life is busy, I appreciate the immediacy of having it o. My phone and I open it when I have.a spare moment, at lunch, in the AM before work, etc. What do you guys prefer, mobile or PC and why?
"Maywar"
This word terrifies any mobile user
From what I know SimplePlanes was a mobile app before it was a pc game. The fact that XML modding has came to be and the fact that pc users have a much better game has made this game difficult and near impossible for mobile users to be very successful
Good tip, thanks!
@TimothyWong so do you post your unfinished projects to the site, then move them to your PC, or do you somehow email the aircraft files?
I'm a PC guy.
Having more power doesnt make one better. #MobileFTW
Also, bought the mobile version. Can't bother spending 12 bucks on a pc version when I can get 2 copies of mobile for my friends.
Well I would like the fact you can mod in the pc and the joysticks in the ios but since the limit of the ios is quickly expanding i will go for ios.
Simpleplanes will always remain competitive on mobile. Anybody complaining about the "limitations of mobile" needs to go to "highest rated" and hit "all". Check the "made on" for the top creation.
i play the most time on mobile(samsung s2) not the newest phone but works good. yesterday i got the pc version the graphics re better the physics but you cant play it everywhere so i think both versions are good
@jsaret same
One question. What device do you use?
I build on mobile because my PC can't run SP. It crashes at 3 parts. (Lol I have it on my PC but whenever you go onto the editor, it crashes.)
PC... but I wonder why...
Ever since I bought the PC version last year, the game has moved towards the way I treat minecraft - PC version is there for everything, mobile feels foreign and is reserved for dire situations (out and about, laptop is dead, etc.)
However, my SP.com browsing is 90% done on mobiles.
oh @General360
@JMicah4 same
@General360 Get a laptop.
But they're both great in their own way
I'm on mobile only, well mostly because my IPad probably has more processing power than my laptop and I'm not really wanting to spend $12 on a game I have and will work better on my IPad.
Probably PC. It has more big islands, small islands, better graphics, nudge (though I never use nudge), you can zoom out more in the editor (great for huge builds), and you can XML Mod, and more.
I use both, PC at home mobile when i'm out, Fine adjustments helps a ton.
I usually build on mobile but I do sometimes build on PC. Though if I had to choose between one.... wow this decision is tougher than I thought.... mhmmm
mobile. I have no space on my PC
Why not? @General360
