I wish there was more freedom on editing colors. Being able to change Hue, Saturation, and Brightness would make colors extremely more accurate for re-creation of historic planes and more modern planes.
We basically already can change the Hue and the Brightness but there is no way to change the Saturation. This makes colors either very bright and dull or very dark and vibrant. This creates quite a problem when needing specific colors such as dull gray/blue used in many modern day aircraft.
Hopefully on the next update we can see something like this or at least an advanced option for those hard to create colors. If you agree with me, help me get the devs attention and make this a possibility.
Thankyou and have a nice day.
@TheNightmare811 well loan and behold! It happened.
@AndrewGarrison @PhilipTarpley Do you think that this would be possible? -and adding a "Super-Gloss" to paint options?
@Shmexysmpilot oh ok. I think I know what you're talking about now. @NumNumz that would be awesome. That is exactly what we need.
Exactly @Rugpeersdude
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH YOU, probably the best way to do it is just give sliders for RGB values, or CMYK values, with a colour square like in photoshop to track it visually.
@Rugpeersdude it's the six number/character code for basically any color you'd need. The selector for it is usually the box with different white/black balances and a hue slider
@Shmexysmpilot I'll have to google that one. Lol.
If we can get a hex code color selector then all will be well
@BaconEggs that would be helpful. I just think we need a simple saturation bar. Just to change colors between vibrant and faded.
I think there needs to be a color wheel instead of a color bar.
@MasterManufacturingCo Brown is a blended color. An aggregate of multiple colors. It's displayed on monitors by red-green mixing. The best way to get brown right now is to drop the slider somewhere between red and green on the color picker, which limits your options.
@Sunnyskies exactly!! That is the problem I have all the time.
No telling how many times I needed a brown, and the only option was dark orange that looks like brown if you squint.
this is neeeeeeded!!!!!!!!
@PINK that would be a cool addition. Like an editing screen for decals like here in forza
@Flightsonic the color itself we do have a pretty good selection, I'm talking about the saturation and brightness of those colors. Say you want a dark, pail forest green. You're only options are to either have a dark vibrant green or a bright pail green. You can't get the exact color you need.
I'm with you
Yes
Also, decals and symbols!!!!
But can't you already get most of all the noticeable tones with the current set of tools?
But it would be nice to have the square selector with the dot to choose
@MechWARRIOR57 you can do more gloss. It just requires XMLing.
You can find some planes with XMLed hi-gloss paint here.
or more gloss
@Swag777 agreed. Camo would be an interesting addition.
Also, I think we should be able to paint multiple parts of the same fuselage/wing to create camouflage or custom designs.
