I hate to bring up the "quality over quantity" controversy again, but lets just do a little poll. Comment how long it takes for you to build a plane. Observe the players that answer, look at their builds, and look at the time it takes to make them. See if you will notice anything. That is- if there is anything to notice at all.
On a side note, I have a question for the XML modders out there. Can a detacher be modded to have delay between the group input, and the detachment?
I usually use about 5 hours to build a plane.
Thanks! I will! @spefyjerbf
It really depends on what I'm building. For a fairly simple plane, probably an hour or two. For a detailed build, or for a serious attempt at a race tournament entry, I'd say 20 hours or more.
Simple:50% in 30mins to 1H
Complicated:2D
10-50 hours.
depends. the AD-1 only took me about one and a half horus while stuff like the P-51 took months.
@HyperaAeronautics Honestly, it was easier for me to get from silver to gold, than from bronze to silver. Just keep doing what you're doing. It is also beneficial to start exploring some new building styles.
About a day usually, and then a week of testing. Wondering if I should make more planes since it took me a year to get silver
2 to 20 hours
6 to 10 hours for the bigger complex builds. 1 hour for a simple plane. Plus I like to test for at least an hour once I think it's done before I upload.
The craft I made that took the longest was the UNSC Savannah, with 1 and 1/2 days of work, and it's still not finished.
25 mis to 6 hours
To build some thing good it can take me a few hours
Not even one
@Viper28 Same.
@TheLatentImage I was going to make a detacher based engine with such chains, which was why I asked. I have a working model already that doesn't use delay chains, which is still pretty nice.
I just build on and off, 1-4 hours.
Anywhere from 5-18 hours.
over 15 hours on my detailed builds.
Depends on the build but I average about 20 hours a build for detail build I have next to no xml experience. All time spent with Fine Tuner Mod.
Oh I should ad that's spread out over a 1 to 2 week period
@spefyjerbf no problem. It would be cool if you could create "chains" with sets of detachers that have a delay time that you could edit.
@TheLatentImage Thanks for the feedback on the XML question.
As long as it takes, usually about 3 hours with my more recent posts
About 0.7 hours.
@TheLatentImage eee, makes sense.
