Do I have to say credit to original creator when using their build

Do I have to say credit to original creator when using their build or is that what the successor system is for because I get cr@p for not saying that although the link is right there to view the original if they want... I'm confused...

Giving credit is a very important thing to do when using another person's design.

If I were you, I would give credit, just in case they think you're stealing their stuff.
Nothing wrong with playing it safe. Though it may not be required, or if it's against any rules, best to do so anyways.

People have already said this, but I will too. It is polite to give credit in the description. It shows that you arent trying to steal their design, but are instead improving upon it. Not giving credit in the description makes it seem like you dont care who made the original.

It's not required no but it's best practice too. Especially if it's something they spent a lot of time on. Even if you mod it, dropping them some credit is just a respect thing I would think. If you liked it enough to use it and not build one of your own it's only fair to at the very least mention them.

Not required but it is a good thing to do.

It's not a rule, but it's the right thing to do. Not everyone reads the fine print, or checks the predecessor planes.
