I just wanted to ask what me, and others with low score, can improve it. No matter how much time and effort I can put into a plane I never get more than two upvotes. Yet some people put up a plane and get 20 upvotes in minutes

Don’t worry, this happens to everyone, but one way to get upvotes is how well of a screenshot you take.

Word!
A look at my catalog provides a good idea of how average people progress.
All my early planes were mediocre at best, and raked in maybe none or one upvote. Two on a good day. But as time went on, my builds got better, and I got more popular, and now I can secure a solid average of 5 upvotes for every plane. Also, I got a little visibility from having one of my planes featured. Make something amazing, stay dedicated, and you will rise in the ranks.
Just look at me. It has taken me about a year to get where I am. Trust me, it takes a while for some, like me, and for others it takes but a couple months.
It might take a while, but you just need to be unique and get a follower base. Dont ask for followers though. As long as you kepp building, you Will gain them.
Yes. What you have there is quite nice, especially since you are using an IOS device. I just did a build on my weak IOS device, and the build has a nice cockpit. If you want to download my build, and take it apart to see how it's made, that might help. I am also thinking of posting a cockpit making tutorial at some time. Link
@spefyjerbf Do you mean something like this, https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/mtk6UZ/A-10-C-HellBane
If you haven't already, try making a cockpit out of fuselage blocks.
@Hammy125 no problem, buddy. I'm always willing to give advice, if I can find one.

Thanks for all the tips, having read these I try to download size mods and try to find somthing unique and untried. (I underestermated this community) :)
@BaconEggs thanks for notifying me.
@Hammy125 the trick is to save all of the simple parts you see. For example 0.02, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2,... diameter fuselage blocks and other xml edited parts. For more complex parts, it is always advisable to ask for permission to use them. One of the best builders, Cedy117, is also on IOS. He uses that technique.
@EternalDarkness He replied, but didn't mention you. Read below.

Dude all your planes have at least one upvote! That's pretty awesome considering that most of my original planes didn't get any until I became 'popular'
Once you make more planes, you'll get more followers, and get more points! Your profile looks pretty promising to me. And about the iOS thing, I use iOS. After a while, you learn certain techniques that can help make even cooler planes!
Thanks for the advice, I find it hard on iOS as there are no precision tools
The he problem is that your planes, although quite decent for your level, don't feature anything especially interesting. If you take a look at those planes that get dozens of upvotes, you will notice their realisticity and precision with details. Often it's not hours, but days of work. Another thing is, with their persistence and constantly increasing quality of their builds, builders of those planes have acquired a lot of followers. So, my advice is: be innovative. Don't be a slave of one technique. Evolve.
