Is Torque setting required for car engines?

110k hpgbproductions  8.4 years ago

Sometimes i want to make a land vehicle. But in the game even with 50hp engine cars move 100 mph and cant make steep hills. NOTE: more torque does not increase top speed much but helps the car climb

Xml tweak those wheels, find the "maxangularvelocity" line, default is 300, change it to 50 (the value depends on the size of the wheels. if it is big, set it to smaller value), and make sure the wheels are linked to a car engine. You'll have a wheel that spin at a limited speed but not changing it's strength.

@HPGBPlanes @TheBoeingEngineer I don't know if it was one of you, but someone put it on the uservoice, and you should vote for it! (if you want it)

And if it was you, you should post a link in the forums so that everyone who wants it can vote for it

Oh, and in case you don't know, to make a clickable link, [clicky text here](link here), so [vote for a torque option!](https://jundroo.uservoice.com/forums/221664-jundroo-games/suggestions/15018156-add-torque-setting-to-car-engines) becomes vote for a torque option!

Yes! Several people have suggested it, as did I when the wheels were in beta, but I guess adding torque may be somewhat difficult... still, you should put it on the user voice site so we can vote for it!

Yes but sometimes you want cars to move slowly (esp some of my military vehicles)
