Lol I love that
@TheBoeingEngineer I know.
He Muppet movie was banned in New Zealand
Yeah, strengthening the fuselage is heavy modification @JovianPat
@TheBoeingEngineer hmm...well Wikipedia says that the 747 is "heavily modified" in order to carry the shuttle.
They are needed for landing the shuttle. Surprisingly, the wings provide adequate lift@JovianPat
Actually, the overweight fees make sense, because in order for the 747 to carry the shuttle, its fuselage needs to be strengthened
Your argument is invalid
@Djbanana oh. hes dam rude! KILL HIM WITH FIREEE. This is a joke
@Djbanana ok just sayin'
@RedstoneAeroAviation @Djbanana BTW Shino is female

@Djbanana Google images.
@SeraphimVault I got this from google images.
@SeraphimVault so who cares? Why do you have to be rude to everyone
Actually the 747 that carries the Space Shuttle has specially tuned engines to cope with the massive weight of the payload it carries.
This is so old XD
More weight=more fuel=more money for airline companies to pay
not because the plane won't be able to fly
@Tully2001 Yeah. The shuttle's wings do actually offset a bit of its own mass.
@Tully2001 Well some lift may help, but I'm not sure about the wing loading, the wing looks small compared to the fuselage. And it was made for spaceflight right? There's no air in space so wings doesn't matter apparently.
@Tully2001 Well the platinum chain is broken....
@Tully2001 But the space shuttle's empty weight is 172,000 lb (78,000 kg) according to Wikipedia....
@KingDeadshot Yep..... when I got an overweight luggage fee, I said : "If I pay, will it make my luggage lighter?"
Lol I love that
