I'm seeing more and more people becoming platinum and eventually there will be lots of pages of them so it might be a good idea to add a diamond rank or something like that.

Maybe at 500k
Soon 40% of the community will be platanium
@CrazyCodeC That is true. Visibility is very hard for blanks and bronzes. Especially during the early phases when their work is still improving, and doesn't really catch anyone's eyes. Breaking out of being the background noise of mediocre planes is tough. It's also hard for new users to establish their individuality in a follower-based community. It's all very sociological.
@Sunnyskies Also, don't forget that bronze to silver is another huge leap, because, I don't know about others, but I spent about 5 months as a bronze. Over the past 2 months, I've went from 300 points to 4000. I guess you start to pick up speed as you grow in popularity.
There's still far less platinum users than any other rank.
The hierarchy is still balanced for the time being. Only a little over 10 have broken 50k, and only two have more than 100k. Having them sit by themselves in a new rank consisting of only around 10 members would be kinda silly.
If anything, splitting gold into two ranks would make more sense. The gap between 5000 and 25000 is quite significant points-wise, even if it does make sense mathematically. (25k is 5x 5k, which in turn is 5x 1k)
Percentage-difference-wise speaking, the largest gap is bronze to silver, requiring 10x the points to promote, rank-to-rank.
