A LIFE SAVING (and money saving) ANNOUNCEMENT:

101k Wallaby  8.2 years ago

I'm not in a very good mood right now. Why? Because I had to switch to win10 and play FSX, that's why. After 5+hours in my first ever long haul flight, (AAL B777-300ER EDDF-KPHL), I finally see Canada on my radar. Minutes later, my game crashes. The only thing I learned is that I should not have got win10. If you already have win10 and are thinking of getting FSX, look for something else. (Also the crash physics are nasty). I just saved your life.

Meh. Win10 Should Be Recalled Like Those Note 7s That Involved Their Battery's Exploding.

Many FSX add-ons have P3D version. PMDG737/747/777 etc.

What I did, no regrets. 8 absolutely sucked. But in the case of using FSX, there is no guarantee of stability when the game is 6 years older than the OS @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation

@HellFireKoder Very true. Windows 10 Is honestly a complete and total improvement over the trainwrecks that were 8, 8.1. Win 7 is good for those who have it. But whoever had 8-8.1 should honestly move to windows 10.
I never had issues with it except with laptops and devices that came factory installed with Windows 8.1

What are your specs? FSX is like 6 years older than Windows 10, explains a lot. Do you have SteamEdition?

I can run it on my win 10 for a little while.

@ForeverPie This is gonna sound off the rocker but turn graphics to optimum. I did that on my Asus, and it ran faster then on minimum settings.

@HellFireKoder I dunno, I looked up a vid once on how to fix it, It told me to install some debugger or something like that. I asked how it would work on win10, and I got a response saying that FSX is bad on win10, so that is what I always assumed.

    first ever long haul flight

    my game crashes

must be Windows 10's fault despite me having never tried before Win10

    wat

If you'd googled, you'd have seen that MOST people have no trouble with Win10, and plenty of people had trouble before Win10... and you might even find a solution.
