@Sunnyskies Oh, that might be a problem. I've done a lot of prop fighters/bombers, and I find they lose a lot of steam by 20,000 ft. Something XML modded for lots of power might be your ticket, although it would sacrifice low-altitude realism.
The TA 152 used the Junkers Jumo 213E engine which had a supercharger which helped the engine at higher altitudes. SimplePlanes doesn't have superchargers. Also, the engine delivered 1725 horsepower, and could be GM-1 boosted for added power at altitude, and the engine could handle pretty high shaft speeds. Up to 3700 RPM.
Try modding the engine in XML to raise its maximum RPM and horsepower.

What do you define as 'high alt'?
