Questions about map making

These would be useful if I got the supplies to make maps, but even if I never get to do so, would help others:

  1. Where do you obtain the .spmod maker plugin?
  2. Can you make mods without SP on PC?
  3. Can you make race (or other) levels in custom maps? And how?
  4. Is it possible to modify traction of roads according to Terrain texture? (E.g. less traction on a grass terrain but more on a road texture)
  5. How do you create custom models? (Like for buildings, walls etc)

What I would do if I got to make maps:

  1. Make a semi-realistic racetrack with elevation changes, pit lane, and multiple different stages (Short, Full, Mixed Surface Rally and a Mountain Road stage, because twisty mountain roads are fun)
  2. Create an offroad track center, also with multiple stages, and including partially submerged sections like in FH3
  3. An AMC base/research facility with runways, open tarmac, hangars and random roads

I made a custom level. It's possible with coding. I'm not sure about races but I don't think there is official stuff for it. You'll need Unity Editor with the mod tools linked below. You can't change physics stuff on different bits of terrain, it's global for the whole collider. Creating custom models is done in 3d modelling applications. Google Sketchup is good for beginners, but Blender much more full-featured. You can then import them into Unity.
    To conclude:
    1. See below
    2. Yes, but only if you have it on Android. And it's a lot harder. You'll find yourself doing export after export (especially with scripts) and every time you'll have to send it to your device.
    3. Don't think so.
    4. Not really. Make roads as separate models.
    5. 3d modelling programs (blender, sketchup)

    1: mod tools here
2: Yes, but its quite inconvenient.
    3: Does this help?
    4:No idea.
5: I'm no expert, but you could create the model in blender or another 3d modelling software then import it to unity.
