So I was messing around in the missile evasion challenge and thought: "Well I'm in an F-22A, so, I'm really stealthy, so these missiles shouldn't track me that well, right?" And that made me think, what if we had a stealth mechanic in SimplePlanes? It wouldn't be that hard (I imagine. ) because we have the drag system, and well look at that. If we had a system like what I am proposing, think about what could be accomplished-more complex dogfighting, possibly adding in a need for more missiles ( AMRAAMs and infrared please!?!? ) , we could have deep stealth bombers for attacking stuff like the Snowstone ice base,I mean we could literally add in working radar. This was a big idea in my head and I thought I should announce it- I hope a dev reads this and forwards it to Jundroo,but in the mean time, pleas comment your thoughts about this theory below-
I dont think the devs red this
I Agree, Most of my Stealth aircrafts go at mach 2 and it would be very interesting to see that thing work in-game, also pls bring back the wind tunnel feature.
@EternalDarkness exactly. I think it would make the game deeper and allow more ways to do things like land at the snowstone ice base.
Yugoslavian S-125 Neva M system didn't mind the fact that F-117 is stealth back in 1999 (first downing of a stealth aircraft). Modern missile systems are designed to engage stealth aircraft, although their detection range for stealths is shorter than the detection range for non-stealth aircraft.
@MaximusTheMinimus Good idea
if per say the missiles are heat seeking then hwever oyu look wont matter anyway stealth would be really hard
@EliteIndustries1 imagine if we got radar blocks, or beacon lights that we could place around the fuselage and get cheek mounted radar, or IRST even. What I would like to see off of that is a way to interlock that with missiles. There are plenty of mods, just not many of them work.
