Why do you go to the local flight school? Checking out real planes? Actually watching your friends stick that perfect landing or your enemy dying in a fire? Or just to make a quick buck on YouTube for something you didn't do? You finally found out why.Video
The sun was directly up in the sky when the trainee was taking off from Wright Airport. He slowly pushed the throttle lever forward, just short of the halfway mark. The aircraft gradually rose into the air. Then, as if he had done it a thousand times before, swapped to flight mode with a few buttons.
He flew to the end of the runway, then turned to the right, keeping his distance from the mountain. He then pulled back on the trim and turned on the target tracker. The words "USS Tiny" appeared above a square, with the distance in miles below it. The aircraft then flew towards the speck on the bay, which was the landing site. A moving runway-ship, not even an aircraft carrier, that was barely long enough for most planes to land. But this was a VTOL aircraft. It was more than enough.
Right when the aircraft was about two miles away from the floating landing pad, the trainee swapped over to the hover mode. The thrusters moved about, directing thrust towards different directions to keep the small aircraft in the air. As if landing a plane, he flew the aircraft to the back of the aircraft carrier, ever so slowly approaching it. However, he was so concentrated in reading the artificial horizon that he did not notice he was deviating to the left of his projected flight path. When he looked up, he panicked and shifted the stick to the right, slightly pulling back on it at the same time.
His life flashed right before his eyes as he approached the water to the right of the landing zone. But at that moment, there was a thud and some metallic noises, and the aircraft was stationary. He looked to the right and saw blue poles reaching into the sky. Looking up into the sunlight, there was his trainer, standing behind the steel bars on the observating platform, looking down at him.
Unsure of what to do, he opened the canopy and looked out.
He had made mistakes, but it turned out all good in the end.
And how normal people do it
When I land on a carrier
@destroyerP not sure, could be:
- Alstom Metropolis C380
- Alstom Metropolis & Shanghai Electronic C380C
- Alstom Metropolis C751A
- Alstom Metropolis & Shanghai Electronic C751C
Now you can track me
And i thought the sound recorder was off
Thats was a nice landing. For the audio I heard you are in a train but what train is that though? Never heard it before
That landing is sick, im really bad at Vtol aircraft (flying and building) but i will soon be uploading an carrier plane. Naval aircraft is best aircraft XD @AstleyIndustries @EliteIndustries1
@EliteIndustries1 wow, i cant control any vtols without gyros
@EliteIndustries1 nice, does it have any gyros?
@MrMecha nope took less than 20 min, i write more in my plane descriptions which can take over 30 min
And the entire story is based off the video
