I see so many intricately designed planes (and some no so intricate) made by "experts" of the game, but they all have one thing in common.
They are all out of scale!!!
Take a look at my first plane. I know it is not in scale, but I was a beginner. Take a look at my first WWII jet, the He-280. I did my best to do the sizing and speed, but forgot the weight. If you look at my most recent replicas, they are more or less in-scale. That's because I review the information found on Wikipedia, the closest and most accurate information you can find for free.
I am just wondering how those people built the plane and not wonder "Is this in-scale?" and the like. I see all of the F-35's not built by me to be out of scale. I wanted a comparison, that's why. Even the community's other planes, though accurate in design, is inaccurate everywhere else.
Try to review design information when building replicas. That's all. Peace.
Here's a tip if you don't like non-scaled builds: download fine tuner, do math to calculate the difference of the X,Y,Z axis of both planes, find the number (0.x) if scaling down, (1.x) if scaling up. Make sure your math is correct so that either 0.x(beforescale) or 1.x(afterscale) is equivalent to the real deal in length, wingspan/widgth and height. Now punch in the numbers into the scale too in X,Y,Z boxes respectively and press that scale button. It takes less time to do that than write this rant.
Did someone say scales properly replicas? Currently at 265 feet with 1104 parts. Good luck running it over 5fps! @EliteIndustries1 @Alienbeef0421 @LockheedMartinAerospace
Kek that's why I don't do replicas.
@LockheedMartinAerospace Don't you see I already have plans for the next 2 months?
@BaconEggs So could you make a scale F-35 to compare mine?
Mine are all to scale, except for the Enterprise because 2330ft is too long for my little dinky computer to handle, and the big bad boys have intricate landing gear and flaps mechanical systems inside them. They are also at around the right weight, I usually see specs to know the range of weight I can have, from operating empty weight to fully loaded, that's where the set of numbers are for weight. As for shape, I tri evryteim.
Scaling is really not essential to have a good replicas being 1:1 is more of a novelty than a requirement. There are plenty of Spitfire replicas in real life but the're all smaller.
Are you pissed your planes aren't
getting any attention?
@MrSilverWolf True, things tend to be way out of scale Ingame, it's pretty ridiculous Actually.
I don't think it's necessary, But it would be cool i guess, Again, i don't think it's required.
@EliteIndustries1 Oh, DCR3D? Oh, I made a good car. Although mine is outdated.
It is only a bit harder than ScrapMechanic, but easier than SimplePlanes.
@EliteIndustries1 The only car that I truly built was a failed paraglider inspired by the paraglider-lifted Humvee.
@LockheedMartinAerospace don't know about paying 15 dollars for that.
@EliteIndustries1 that is also true
@JMicah4 That is why it is called SimplePlanes, not SimpleCars. Try DreamCarRacing 3D if you like cars. I heard you can make jet planes there too, now.
My cars are huge but speed is normally scale. Also parts in this game are heavy.
And usually the things are about 2ft to 10ft off of the real ones which again in this game is pretty good and getting it that close is again extremely extremely hard
Well getting planes to be exactly 1:1 with no errors, it's extremely extremely hard, and as EliteIndustries said SP physics tend to not work when doing that.
@MechWARRIOR57 I just did it.
https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/aeeBS2/Lockheed-Martin-F-35A-Lightning-II
then we will see@LockheedMartinAerospace
@MechWARRIOR57 I am doing it.
just saying
you try making accurate planes in every way, youll see its not easy..............
Well, though it requires tons of scaling and modding, it is possible, actually, my Me 163 komet, Bachem natter and F-16 are scale accurate
@EliteIndustries1 ???
