So, I Looked around and found a local guy selling a DJI Phantom 3 Standard. Do you guys think I should get it? You see, I'm only 12 and I want to pursue my dreams to become a cinematographer. The Price is $400

I say if your sure, the go for it. But 400 bucks is a lot of money, maybe see if you can get it cheaper somewhere else? And make absolutely sure that it is what you want, spending that much on something you're gone be bored of in a few weeks would kinda suck...

Sometimes a hassle with guarenteed good results is better than a cheap drone from a random stranger. @808REKT

I think the major consern with back-ally sellers is that you don't know what the battery conditions are. A faulty, bad or even heavily used battery can bring down the whole drone. @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation

Like what BaconAircraft said, get the real thing from a certified reseller or the official store, it's like buying medicines from someone who is willing to sell it to you for a cheap price and will tell you everything about it, you really don't know if you're gonna get what you think your gonna get >_> maybe it was heavily used! You never know

Don't. I'd buy it from an official DJI re-saler like bestbuy or the official DJI store during a promotion. I'm not sure if you have DJI stores in your country, but going to the store to make the purchase is much better. I own a Phantom 3 Pro, bought from an official DJI retailer in Beijing China. The staff there walked me through the basics and then the advanced settings, procedures and functions of the drone; something u won't get from that local guy. If you are new to UAVs, I would highly recommend you not to buy it from that local guy, but rather go in to an official retailer.
