I've been noticing a lot of plagiarism lately. I would like to refesh people on the rules: it is okay to download someone else's airplane, make some tweaks, and re-upload a new variation.
However, if your variation does not offer any improvements over the existing airplane, then it may be removed.
Now I am not a huge fan of @Franticmatty but I do not hate him infact i think he is helping the community grow in a good way. But i noticed the other day of an account. I am not going to say the name so he dosn't get too much hate. but this person has uploaded a exact copy of Franticmatty's Ohka Kamakazi Plane. He denies coping it and he says his "friend" showed him a pic of the plane and he made it. But this cant be true because he has XML modded parts on the plane and he is on iOS. I then looked on his profile and saw he copied Franticmattys Teeside DuoP as well. So my message to everyone is if they see a form of plagiarism mention a moderator EX: @cedy117 or someone who has mod as there points value.

@Multidimensional eh
@Multidimensional i totally understand too because this was around a month ago (i think)
@Multidimensional just trying to make a point.
By the way what I don't like the most is that
many users upload their works which are my successors, but there's not much significant change.
@AudioDud3 no worries man. But, sometimes it takes longer than that. I can't speak for the other moderators and developers but I am a father of 2 and I work a full time job, so sometimes that stuff has to sit for a while before I have time to see to it.
Saw a that once, but was taken down before I reported it.
@TheLatentImage Ok
You don't have to mention a moderator when you see a stolen or copied plane. Instead you should click the down tick arrow and use the report function.
This was plagiarized from a Simple Planes rules
@bspboy Yes my friend i saw it. i used it for a good 10 minutes trying to shoot down ai.
It's on my second or third page. It's not super detailed but I spent quiet a bit of time on it. @KabyLakeE
@Blue0Bull Thats great to hear.
@Blue0Bull Yeah. did the person take it down?
@bspboy Now i gotta see that 4m GAZ i like that truck.
@bspboy Probably a monstrosity...
I saw that someone made a spinoff of my... I think my 4M GAZ. I was kinda curious to see what they had created, improvement or monstrosity. But it was gone.
Agreed
I encountered a user the other day, who blatantly copied a very high rated car. So I told him off and explained the rules to him after reporting it. He removed it, but made another copy right after! It was removed again, but I didn't think it was that hard to understand
Plagiarism is technically illegal and could send someone to jail. So if anyone that has plagiarized a craft before and is seeing this, I recommend you delete it.
I report plagiarism immediately after I see it. I had someone copy my helicopter yesterday.
Agreed. Thumbs up.
@Botfinder @ChiChiWerx Its really nice to see people agree with me.
I'm especially miffed by this right now as I saw a post which looked really similar to one of my posts from a year ago...similar techniques, build styles, even similar compromises and work arounds. There were some changes, but clearly and eerily similar. However, no mention of my original post and the plane wasn't posted as a successor. I even called out the poster and all I got was an "LOL"! Not right!
Agreed; also to add to your point, successor posts give points to the original creator, so successors are usually welcomed. It's especially nice if the successor creator mentions the original creator in the description...👍. However, circumventing (and there are ways of doing this) the successor system and passing off a creation as your own is, in any book, plagiarism.
@Air123 No problem man! you got a new follower.
