F* S ARSE AAAGH DAMMIT F S F S* FFFFFFFFFFFffffffffff...I WANT TO CRY!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me explain...SO as some of you know I recently made a commercial cockpit thing. Well...since I showed it to you, a part, or some parts, somewhere have gone rouge. And Because I keep mirroring my build the parts have multiplied so many times that the build has gone from 200 parts to overt 4000. I have absolutly no bloody clue what parts have gone wrong. At first I thought it was the rotator for the throttle leavers. Which had multiplied from 1 to 100...I've checked every other part on the build and the positioning of everything. AND IT SHOULD BE FINE BUT IT'S NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST LOOOOOOOOOKUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!
Aaaaaa........
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

And SimplePlanes crashes whenever I open it now. I have a pentium 3 and a 1GB AMD Radeon Saphire graphics card and 2,5GB of Ram. My solution is to upgrade my RAM from 2.5GB to 4.5GB, I have two spare sticks I bought a while ago. SP takes a lot of processing power and temporary memory...so I'm hoping it helps me resolve the issue. Here are my PC specs for those of you wondering...
It's now 21:45GMT And I have to get up early tomorrow for a job interview...And one of my relatives is experiencing increasing heartburn and rib pains...So it's safe to say I can't fix SimplePlanes for a day or two. So G'night all...
INTEL PENTIUM 3!?

But wouldn't he have wondered why the plane was glowing or why he was getting lag?
@Maxwell1 no not good XD
Umm... not... good?
thanks for your support guys, sorry it's taken me so long to respond, here is the reason why.
@XT1L thank you, I shall take up your offer, id really appreciate it. I will send the XML file to you shortly
I’ve done it before too, it’s a sad world we live in. My best advice is to not mirror xml parts using the mirror plane mode
Feel your pain friend.
"Press play"
No really, that's the solution
Using scaled cockpits in particular is fiddly business. Remember to make the whole build a subassembly, and use a completely different cockpit.
If you want you can copy the xml of the thing and send it to me. Maybe i can do something about it at the weekend
I think if the cockpit is even slightly off center, the build will double in parts of you mirror the whole thing (that's why I try to avoid it- an old build of mine had 1000+ parts from that feature/bug/glitch/weird thing)
I hate it when this happens. Lets have an F in chat for your simple planes.
if its just me but what job is it? im curious
Mirror each part one by one. If you use the mirror tool to mirror the whole plane, some parts somehow duplicates. Happened to me a bunch of times. Somehow made my 90 part plane to 600 parts
Extract the .xml file and use the file editer to find parts that are entirely the same, copy the entire passage of text for one part and use that to search the passage that are the same. I can help you on this though if you wish. Post the plane or send the xml file by email to me. xyetyanyy@gmail.com
This issue has come up so many times! There have been numerous attempts by some of the most generous build masters on here to explain how to avoid the most common problems but sadly, their posts get pushed back into obscurity within a few days. I wish the mods would sticky informative posts like that.
Tip: NEVER EVER MIRROR THE WHOLE PLANE!!!!! NOT EVER!!!!!!!!
Now you know lol.
It happens to me too. Try mirroring individual parts if they are the only parts needing to be mirrored.
It happens when small stuff is near or right on the mirror line. The game seems to not know what to do. I hope it gets fixed in future versions.
U suggest upgrading ram. 3gb ram doesnt do simpleplanes bery well. I usually avoid putting scaled parts near the centre of the z axis because they duplicate
It happens when the cockpit duplicates itself a million times. All you need is a little reset.
I know a "simple" solution. Try making the entire aircraft a subassembly, created new aircraft, and load the subassembly into the cockpit. The same thing happened to me just yesterday.
