The question is...
How many of you know a pilot? (As in someone with a pilots license)
I know a man named Bob who's a pilot. He goes to the same church as me, and it was actually quite a shock to find out he can fly because he is quite an older gentleman. He's not a commercial pilot, but he can fly small propeller planes. He says he‘s also flown jets, but it’s “been so long I couldn’t fly it properly”. I really need to ask him for a flight someday.
It’s actually surprising not that many people know how to fly. I mean sure it’s difficult, but it’s truly an incredible technology. Perhaps someday in the future flying will be so simple that everyone will know how? But with today's controls I'd never even try to fly a plane.
So vote here, and also remember you can do multiple votes on this pole (just don’t select yes and no at the same time please. That would be very annoying).
Mind = blown. @1gman4evr
"will be so simple" "fly a plane." Take Simple and Plane out. You get Simpleplanes.
True but it's been around 4 months since I've been in the sim @Awsomur
“Most of” doesn’t make a your wingman feel very safe. @ThePrototype
I know most of the buttons in an f-15 Cockpit @Awsomur
I never flown an actual plane I just know how to fly a plane , we'll somewhat more like an F-15 i spent some time in a military grade simulator and know mostly what to do @Awsomur
Then your flying illegally? @ThePrototype
What if we know how to fly but don't have a license
Such as this beast. @F4f879
Indeed I can. @F4f879
Nice! So you can probably run some pretty huge builds @Awsomur
@MrDoolittle nice!
A gold iPad 2017 with 128 GB of storage. It’s also known as the iPad 5. @F4f879
My cousin has a pilots license
Kinda off topic, but what iOS device do you use? iPad? @Awsomur
@MrSilverWolf 172RG
my grandfather
@MrDoolittle that's cool! Are you using a 152/150 or 172 for your flight training? And doing solo in the aircraft is really fun to be honest!
(I'm about halfway to getting my private pilots license and I'm training in a 1966 172H)
My father is a captain with Alaska Air, and I know a few people in my town that have an plane and pilots license
(I'm also working on getting my private pilots license)
Ohh...what do you mean "moo" @HighOnSP
@QingyuZhou moo
I live in Wichita, KS... My school is right next to the Cessna and Beechcraft airports, so I guess almost everybody's parents are pilots or plane engineers...
I’m sure he does! @SVT13
My great uncle flew the B-57 Canberra in Vietnam, has got some incredible stories.
Nice! @HighOnSP
