Added moar pictures!
Here it is! A hill climb racer designed hard cornering and quick acceleration, and to compete in the famed unlimited class "race to the clouds!" This is based off of the record setting Peugeot 208 T16 car.
The powertrain in this was meant to be as close to the real thing as possible, while also having the ability to shift into different race forms. A little less power, and adjusted springs and dampers make this into the rally car its based off.
The aero package on this thing is pretty insane, with a full underbody, massive splitter, and an even bigger wing!
This thing corners harder and faster than the massive erect...um...erector set...that, uh you are getting from this beast. Yeah.
This is the real thing.
Should I add the body, or keep it bare. Adding a body will undoubtedly change the performance, and you won't be able to experience the suspension and drivetrain details, and it will add parts. What do you think?
Part status: 341
@aircraftarsenal123 thx. If it works I won't have to use my tablet for XML modding anymore
umm, I really am not sure how to explain it, but yes, this is running on a macbook laptop. I'm using the steam version, and honestly, I don't remember how I got the mods into the right folder. If you have the steam version, there will be folder (It may be hidden, meaning it's there just the finder app isn't showing it. In that case, Look up how to show hidden files) that says SimplePlanes Mods, and you have to have downloaded a mod first. If you can find the file, you just drag the mod from downloads into that file and restart SP. That's the best answer I can give right now. I you do some hunting, you can probably find a forum detailing that. @HighOnSP
Is that on a Mac computer? If so how did you get the mods on there?
yeah, that would be pretty hard to work in though, and it would end up the race in mayor, my computer can't handle 5 seconds on it lol@marcox43
@aircraftarsenal123 agree, but if possible, as a default track
Agreed! Maybe a mod? @marcox43
we should really have a pikes peak hill climb race in this game
That's what I'll do. I'm hoping that I'll finish this though, lately I've finished the chassis and give up on the body... Like my new Baja truck (given up on, for now)
But I like this one, so I'll do it :) @goboygo1
make two versions, one with body, one without!
Thanks! @Coltonlane
ok, I'll go ahead and tag you in the non-body version @DemonSniper8
@aircraftarsenal123 for the most part in my cars, I put a gyroscope in the CoM inside my car to keep it from rolling over in the air.
@aircraftarsenal123 I'll try to do it later tonight, but I won't be able to test the version with the full body. Under 350 parts is best. Just tag me in an unlisted post so that I can work on a sway bar for ya. I've got one in a car I'm working on, so I'll try to put a version of it in your car.
I've started work on the body, its currently at 341 parts. With the body, I'm shooting for 600 parts max, though 700 is possible... I'll upload this version for mobile users @HighOnSP
Thanks! @Jetpackturtle @JMicah4
cool!
Add the body
Y'all wanna help me test this? It's been pretty quiet here... @DemonSniper8 @SAC923
If anyone knows how to build a sway bar (anti-roll bar), let me know, and I'll tag you in an unlisted. I haven't seen one around here, but this is in desperate need of one.
