This may be a little late although you may know Apple have recently released iOS 11 and it's altogether a amazing update but they have stopped the update for old devices ( iPad generation 4 my ipad) so I got so angry but.. but.. but no I didn't smash my iPad although on the bright side my dad has a iPhone 6s so I checked the features and of course the best feature (the dock) is only on * new iPads! Argggagagagagagagahaahaahgaaggagaaga!!!
@Loopy200 ur not alone I also have a smart phone , but my parents aren't letting me get out of my home with it , instead they also bought me a crappy Nokia to get out with.
@pavthepilot I'm only 12 plus my dad doesnt trust me with a phone so i guess I'm stuck with this ipad then and also I uploaded it really to see if anyone else had this problem but I guess it's just me.... lonely old me....
I know from own experience my device has android 5.0 and the lastest android is 8.0
I don't lack major features!
@Loopy200 if you don't like lacking features get a Samsung phone or any not made by apple device and you won't lack features even if ur operating system is outdated ,and if you think you have no money to buy a new device don't worry the prices of android devices are smaller then the prices of iPhones and ipads. Almost anyone cen get their hands on them ! And this is why there are more people with a mobile phone than people with current water it their houses.

Apple supports their devices for software updates much longer than android or most other companies do. The reason you can’t upgrade is simply because your device doesn’t have the specifications necessary to run iOS 11
