I'm not big at all, I mean I'm pretty much smaller than everyone around here, but I still have ok planes. I have always wanted to make my brother proud, so I set off... Unofficially. The tutorial inspired me to build my own plane. I wasn't proud of it, but it was a start. I then decided after numerous attempts, including my first jet aircraft, I should try WW2 replicas. The math was already done, I just had to make another model. That was when I made a BF 109. Didn't look much like the real one, but it performed amazingly. So good that it drove me to create more. Then after many successful remakes, I started running out of names! I thought of naming my aircraft realistically, like my COM-626 Angel (COMmercial). I used this talent to build more planes, and also help people. There was a guy with the name of capsmooter, who needed help with a jet. I jumped to the drawing board, and soon made the GA-57 Night Raider, with GA standing for Ground Attack. Then I wanted to make different series of planes, like improving my first aircraft ever made. My longest series of improvements is from that 109 I talked about earlier. That series is my most used, and as of now, I'm a small account, offering help for others, building all kinds of aircraft, one special aircraft being the Wyvern S4, and trying to include detail AND performance in aircraft. But for all the achievements I've made, there's one that stands out from everything. I made my brother, and many others proud. I'm only in production, but when I get released, I'll show the world what I'm capable of.
Just build what you're interested in, and if people like it then it'll get upvoted. When I first got this game I wanted to be a mechanical engineer. I have a friend who asked me what I thought about aeronautical engineering and pilots and I said "planes are so boring. I'd hate to work on designing them, and pilots are just glorified bus drivers" the friend bought this game for me, and at first I wasn't very interested. (My first plane was this). But because of this site, I became really interested in aircraft. I only really build planes here because I feel like flying a particular plane and once I find out there aren't any really good ones on the site, I'll make it myself. I'm not usually very social, so I'm not as popular as other users. But now because of SP I'm getting my pilots license, and hopefully I can fly fighters eventually.
I'm not entirely sure if I am famous or good, but I have certainly improved. I'll always be proud of this little guy though. It was a pretty good first post.
@DemonSniper8 I actually owned it first on the Mac App store. But thanks for PhilipTarpley's kindness, I moved to the steam version, installed mods and was able to play the game on windows.
Whoops. I made a few errors in my writing as I thought you were trying to do images. XD I edited it, but I see that you already got it. :) @Jetpackturtle
I wouldn't call myself popular, but it started with this It was a good plane in my opinion, but it didn't get a ton of points at all. Being the resilient type, I kept building to try to reach silver. This was my breakthrough. Not original, but it showed be what I liked to build. I kept getting better, and here I am!
Welp, I'm probably not "famous" enough XD, but this is how I started.
When I started I built horrible planes out of blocks. Then, I started building horrible planes out of fuselage. I obviously wasn't good at making planes, so I started making rockets. Not much success making rockets, so I started making guns. I loved it, so I kept building and building and building them day after day. People started calling me a "Gun God" and "one of the best gun builders. One day, about 6 months ago I moved from iOS, to PC. I built a couple guns on my new PC, but it got boring because the only thing that I have been building for 8 and a half months were guns. I thought to myself, If I could build a good gun on my PC, why wouldn't I be able to build good planes, tanks, and other vehicles? So, I did that. I built planes, tanks, and other vehicles. My most recent plane has 67 upvotes, my most recent tank has 109 upvotes, and a submarine that I built has +55. So, what is the moral of the story? Build what makes you happy. If you build something good, maybe it will make you happy, and you will continue to make stuff that you enjoy making and stuff that other people will hopefully like. :)
I started building planes in the game, but never uploaded those planes as I didn't have an account yet, then I saw the newly realeased T-50 Pak Fa, and I decided to build it, picked a custom cockpit from the site, a few angled parts and started building, then took a pause of a week because my elevons were malfunctioning, then I finished it, this plane wich catapulted me to bronze in a few days, after a week I uploaded some of my first creations, they were unnoticed, some months after that(mid year) I created one of my biggest masterpieces I maded it because in that time I was doing a backhoe loader operator course, so I wanted something to practice in-game, It got featured so it got a ton of upvotes, not much long after that I built the final version of my baja truck, wich came for a challenge, that catapulted me even more into silver. then I got a lot of points by winning challenges, especially fighter ones. after that I got even more upvotes by one of my inventions, a plane without wings, I participated in a lot of challenges, in wich I put some serious effort on creating stuff this and this. Also I got known in the Tournaments for ALWAYS losing the quarter finals, even theres a meme about that xdd. a lot of my planes were Roleplay vehicles, so they were only noticed by the players of that roleplay. in the past months I created one of my favorite planes for a challenge, AND IT WON! (thanks to mikoyanster for that awesome fighter challenge). and thats all.
For me, I just kept building planes (and ships since a year or so ago) and just kept improving on the designs. But as for how I got so many points, I have no idea.
If you just keep building stuff, you'll get more points and eventually, you'll get a bunch of followers.
I actually started being inactive and being one of those ghost white users for 2 months. I regret that, because if I wasn't like that then I could boast about reaching platinum in 92 days lol. In terms of getting here, just build planes you like. Don't go for the upvotes. Put detail and heart into your builds. Use blueprints whenever possible.
I mean, I think all of us, including @BaconAircraft, @Tully2001, and @REW started by buying the game. XD
Just work on making your creations look good and be nice to people ;)
The goal is not to get a lot of upvotes, or to get a lot of popularity. The goal is to have fun and make friends. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with being super-famous such as the people you mentioned, but be careful: the popularity will consume you if you’re not careful.

I agree, I build them for fun.

I am really happy that all of you were commenting and upvoting this. Thanks Everyone
I summoned lightning, blew some planes up. Then took a nap. .-.
All of you are great, at least better than. E

I'm not famous yet...?
Thanks everyone

Link goes this the paranthesis and next to the brackets which comes first. In, the brackets, put what you want the link to say. @Jetpackturtle

Also, when building, be patient and take your time. When on the website, be nice. :)

Never got popular or noticed. Facts, my child.
@Tully2001 lol I joined like two months before you've joined
