The Wright Cold War Part II
NOTE: If you have not read part one you WILL NOT get anything out of this

“A house divided...”
June 2017:
Krakabloa sets up a fleet of aircraft carriers about halfway between Wright and Krakabloa. These carriers weren’t big enough to carry the Grand Airship, but each could hold 3 Desert Raiders, and the Raiders had packed a big punch against Wright in the past. Meanwhile, the Maywar Republic began to set up an embassy on Sky Park City.
“This is outrageous” complained Wright's Secretary Foreign Affairs, “We made one little mistake and now all the islands are ganging up on us!”
“It was no little mistake! The president oppressed a defenseless nation for decades!” argued the Public relations Officer.
“Alright ‘y’all that’s enough! I’m the President now and I’m gonna fix this problem!” yelled the Defense Secretary (who was indeed recognized as the President)
“Well I don’t see how” murmured a voice.
A long silence ensued.
“I cast a vote of no confidence in the Defense Secretary!” boldly proclaimed the Treasury Secretary, “We’ll be broke by next month if we don’t get anything done, which we’re not!”
“I concur” said everyone.
“You insolent little traitors!” shouted the Defense Secretary as he threw his coffee mug away and stormed out of the room.
“So, that makes me the President now?” unconfidently said the Secretary of State.
“Yes indeed” said the Secretary of Foreign affairs, “And I'm your VP!”
“What a day” rightfully said the Secretary of State.

A rude awakening:

Through all of the Wright cabinet's squabbling, the King of Sky Park City and his subjects were living the high life. The economy was booming, they were getting support from Krakabloa and Maywar, and they had almost no crime. Everyone was happy, and even the Maywar soilders posted there were having a good time. But little did SPC know, Maywar would be their undoing. On June 27th, 2017, the Maywar troops opened fire on SPC’s town hall, killing almost 40 people. The citizens were forced into emergency shelters, and the leaders of SPC were held for ransom. The King of Krakabloa was also in on this deal; he sent a battalion of Krakabloan soldiers to SPC after the Maywar troops captured it. The weak SPC Air Force was obliterated by the Maywar Sky Army, and their ground troops were overwhelmed by the Krakabloan Militia. There was not a single Krakabloan or Maywar casualty. Together, Maywar and Krakabloa made sure that Sky Park City could not become too powerful. SPC essentially became a Krakabloan territory, though officially it was still operating as an autonomous government. But now there was the issue of the crumbling Wright Isles. Krakabloa was the longtime enemy/ally of Wright, but now the King had a difficult decision to make. Would he take this opportunity to crush his longtime foes, or would he show mercy on the defenseless government?

Mending relationships:

September 2017:
The Holy King decided to let the Wright Isles proceed with their reconstruction, however he provided no support. Despite the Wright Democracy’s oppression of SPC, after months of rebuilding the government was restored to true democracy. The original president was re-elected to his previous position, and all the other cabinet members were reinstated.

All except for one...

The Defense Secretary was offered his job back, but he adamantly, almost vengefully refused it. He got on a plane and flew off in to the distance, and Wright could do nothing to stop him. Where he was flying to, was the bigger issue. He had secretly been colluding with a different government, one far stronger than Wright, Krakabloa or Maywar. He flew to a remote island, and who did he find waiting for him?
