I just bought it on steam, and when I try and load it, it starts up, but instead of showing the menu, it shows the scrolling sky backround, without any of the buttons like 'play','mods','options' etc. I'm on windows vista, any ideas?

    @Ephwurd But I hate 10 as well.

    @Ephwurd Actually, W10 requires nearly the same amount of processing power and RAM as 8 or 7.

    @Ephwurd I did say I'm on win 7, right? And my brother's computer runs win 10 on 4gb just fine. I have no intention of upgrading anyway lol

    Yeah, isn't win10 the biggest disappoint ever, though? Also, thanks for all the help,

    U can download win10 from Microsoft onto a USB (8gb) then upgrade it via bios, although it requires u to format ur hard drive/OS drive.

    But 7 is better but in not sure how that woeks

    8gb is pretty much the minimun but it's becoming really expensive. Rn GPU drivers are DirectX 12

    @DemonSniper8 4gb is not enough when you have win10 as your OS. Either downgrade your OS or increase your RAM capacity. Plus make sure to update your graphics and game drivers like directx

    @DemonSniper8 You could go in and disable the processes that use up your resources (Cortana, etc) but frankly "trustedinstaller' doesn't like you messing with windows files, there is a regedit script that gets around the restrictions by adding a "take ownership" setting to the right click menu and transfers ownership to the administrator of the system, but it's pretty shady

    @Flightsonic lemme put it this way... I can't get 10 because after I upgraded my ram to 4gb, I discovered whenever I put any input into the computer (ie mouse movement, typing, gaming) my cpu operates at near-max capacity. In other words, I CAN BARELY PLAY MINECRAFT, LET ALONE USE WJNDOWS 10.
    okey im done ranting now lol

    @DemonSniper8 I don't know if you saw my post, but I was getting messages in win7 that my hardware was "incompatible" and then the link it sent me to to "learn more" was saying that that win10 has 30x better graphics... That alone is a red flag because the operating system wouldn't be able to affect hardware performance to that extent, not to mention that win10 runs slower due to all the background processes that can't be stopped

    Make sure you have the proper graphics drivers installed and Direct X as well, seems to be the issue

    @DemonSniper8 don't even bother with win10, it's more trouble than its worth, windows seven is great, or even linux with a windows compatibility layer

    Maybe uninstall and reinstall? Also check and see if it’s up to date. That’s all I can think of. @Gravity
