As the title says, should I simulate the ejection of bullet casings from the aircraft in SimplePlanes? Or will the casing flying everywhere be too distracting?
Example Screenshots below of this concept on my NA-3 Lark fighter:

You can't use mods on iOS so you can't edit the bullet properties since you can't use Overload. If you want, you can use the casing-ejectors off of my NA-3 Lark design. However there guns that shoot the casings are buried in the fuselage, so you'll have to dig around or take apart the plane to find them. Their really small.
@WEAPONSMITH
Yea lol. But I set the guns firing the casings to have noCollisions "true" (meaning they can phase through other objects of the build) so the casings don't damage the aircraft. When you set a gun with noCollisions set to "true" (need Overload) the guns don't damage your aircraft.
@Bo123
I use the machine guns and resize them/adjust them/change their xml properties via overload so they appear to be ejecting casings from the machine guns.
@JohnnyBoythePilot No problem!
@EpicPigster1
Thanks man that made the "casings" look a lot better!
@JohnnyBoythePilot I was here before the images were there so I didn't see. Cool I might have to implement the idea on one my planes and see how it works!
@F4f879 @Stellarlabs
You guessed it! Yes I use rear facing guns however I can get the "casings" (really just smaller bullets) to shoot/eject downward while remaining horizontal. They look most realistic when pulling a +g turn. Velocity on the guns is 10. I had it at 0 initially but at 0 the bullets were floating everywhere and didn't look much like ejecting, more like dispensing.
Believe it or not the NA-3 Lark has a part count of 270, while remaining incredibly detailed. This should be pretty friendly for mobile users.
How are the casings made? Rear facing guns?
Looks very nice my dude. However, I would suggest changing the casing colour to CDA150. It's more brassy.
that part count tho
@Gestour
Oh yea I almost forgot about your gun mods.
@Dllama4
Well you could always store the casings/eject them into a collective tank, like the F-104 and the A-10, but most WW2 fighters like the P-51 eject the casings. The gun layout on the NA-3 is almost exactly like the P-38 (nose guns) but I'm not sure if the P-38 ejects the casings or stores them. Either way I think the NA-3 is too small of a fighter to store the casings, so they realistically would have to be ejected.
@JohnnyBoythePilot My gun mods.
@Gestour
Oh cool so I'm not the only one that has experimented with this concept. What builds did you do that had casing-ejection?
@KidKromosone
The casings for bullets such as the .50 cal and 20mm are typically yellow/brass so thats why the casings are yellow. The .50 cal guns firing are red since they are red tracers. The NA-3 Lark is equipped with 6x M2 Brownings and 2x Hispano 20mm cannons.
My guns have been doing that for awhile now. Isn't distracting at all.
Thats pretty amazing! Looks awesome, maybe edit the bullet casing color tho.
That would actually be pretty cool. If they did put this in the game, there should be an option to turn it of in case you don’t want it.
