For some reason now there is an 'engine RPM safety' feature. Take these pictures for example.
But then...
Did the devs add a new feature?
Have any of you noticed yet?

@WaffleCakes thanks!
@Davisplanez dis
what plane in the pics? @WaffleCakes
That came out when those engines were released
Nah it’s a pretty old feature...
...helpful though!
This has been in SP for well over two years.
@Strikefighter04 lol. What a coincidence
That's exactly the problem I had when I was making my Stuka. @Stellarlabs
Now I know
I have had to deal with it too much. First day the update came out I noticed it. I was making a Stuka and for some reason the siren kept blowing up
I tested a heavy pitch down with the stock twin prop plane from a height of 30000ft, no warning what so ever.
@Carsong1017
@CoolPeach nope, I never messed with it.
You must have messed with the prop, cause the twin prop plane have their props on auto, which means that the prop would automatically pitch according to speed ect.
@Carsong1017
@CoolPeach I actually first saw it on the twin prop when I was pitching down steeply.
As the previous comments have mentioned, that feature has been there for a fair while now, if your props are held at excess rpm they will blow up. Generally, you’ll only see this when you set manual prop pitch.
its been like that since new props were introduced. i guess you never tried out manual props until now.
Nope, thats been there for a while.
