There should be a way to test rotators in-designer

I'd like it to be able to test rotators while in the designer, just like control surfaces. It would save me a lot of time testing the turret rotations of my builds.

But what about the control surface test in the Designer @AndrewGarrison

@Ephwurd I understand this is frustrating, but unfortunately, the way the game is designed it won't be possible for us to do this. Rotators use physics joints to rotate, and there is no physics enabled in the designer.

@Vayloz that would basically remove the purpose of the sandbox.

Yes. Along with that, the devs should add new AGs. Such as a landing gear and fire-guns AG. So people without XML like iOS can build further with ease.

@Ephwurd yes, but you can't strap another part to a control surface....

@WNP78 if control surfaces can be tested, then it should be the same for rotators. There should be a way.

The problem is, you'd have to reprogram so many parts.... and the other problem is that you'd have to start a physics simulation in the designer, and if something gets rotated slightly when you're precision placing parts, things can get out of hand...

Definitely. It’s very frustrating when you have a humongous ship to build and you have to wait 5 minutes every time you want to open the game just to see if one rotator works.
