So I've been making a revamped version of my private jet and decided to add custom landing gear to it. Seems good right?
However, even though they installed well the resizable wheels just didn't work. In short, it was VERY and I mean very bouncy.
I messed around with all the suspension settings on those wheels, suspension strength, damper, even non-suspension related things like size and width and wheel type. Nothing worked.
If possible, PLEASE tell me how to fix this. I don't want to resort to the normal landing gear. If it helps I have this stuff:
Weight: 48,250 pounds
The average speed of ~650-700MPH
@Phoza Just read this whole comment section
@Sheeper glad to be of help :) no problem!
@ChaMikey dude these wheels work perfectly! You're amazing
@ChaMikey nice. get ready for an upload tomorrow :D
@Sheeper righto, try to snatch of resizable wheels off of your old builds or use the one I linked you on my first comment if you don't have any.
@ChaMikey sweet will try dude. I fixed all the problems with my current build and the landing gear is the only thing holding me back from uploading.
difference is noticeable as you put the Wheels on a rotator or two, if its used to hold something heavy its gonna bounce or just sink to the ground and break the custom gear, where as the pre 1.7 wheel would not even budge an inch. I personally experiment on a lot of custom landing gears so its very noticeable for me
@ChaMikey What kind of differences does the (I'm guessing pre-1.7) wheel have than the post-1.7?
though a hard landing would definitely make it bounce, so take it easy and smooth on the touchdowns
This might be the answer, pre update resizable wheel. you can try strapping off custom landing gears from your older builds that are pre-recent-update, i personally keep this one in sub-assemblies for daily custom LG usage. Hope this helps.
If you mean that the landing gear is loose just xml edit the hinge with this: damperMultiplier and then type something like 50 and test and increase until it is fixed.
Suspension seems to be pretty limited in my experience, as if it can only handle a certain amount of mass or something. I've found it's just best to disable it altogether.
