Well what do you know, it is time once again for the SimplePlanes Weekly. But this is a very special edition, because today I introduce a new segment: DerekSP’s Roleplay Corner! DerekSP was nice enough to write a section about the roleplay events going on in the forums, so I thought it’d be nice to add it to the regular lineup.

Sarpanitu = gone:

”Sarpanitu recently announced his retirement from SimplePlanes in a very layed-back forum post. He states that SimplePlanes is outdated and dead, and that he’ll show back up for SimpleRockets2. I can’t say I agree with the former, but it’ll certainly be nice to see his expertise return to SR2.”

Volcanic Eruption at Krakabloa
The week has started with reports coming in of the volcano at Krakabloa Island going off. It has damaged a large portion of SimpleLandia well as other close islands such as the Wright Isles. The airborne ash resulted in many flights being redirected, or in some cases, completely cancelled.

SimpleLandian Bombing Controversy
You are most likely already familiar with the war with the Cobra. During the last stages of the war, most of the Cobra was stationed in a part of Kruolan territory. The SimpleLandia and its allies reacted by bombing the Cobra, destroying protions of Kruola in the process.

War Against SimpleLandia
Soon after the bombing, Kruola declared war against SimpleLandia. Other nations quickly followed, picking their side in what seemed to be an upcoming conflict with SimpleLandia, who announced the SimpleLandian Pact intended for their allies.

Northern Allied States Formed
The NAS started as a group of Kruolan rebels, quickly gaining power and overthrowing the government. The NAS took over all of the Kruolan territory and their military assets, and have also declared SimpleLandia as their ally, effectively ending the war.

In Other News
And here is a summary of less important, but still mention-worthy events from the past week:
* A rebel group has separated from the Republic of Merso
* Yet unidentified aircraft spotted over the Wright Isles
* A ferry has sunk near Krakabloa, likely a terrorist attack
