@F104Deathtrap Another fun fact: knew that one already.
Changed his name for two reasons:
1. It was way more manly than Djugashviliy (I think I got it right)
2. This was how people used to call him during the Revolution
@PhantomBladeCorp So, fun fact! Stalin actually means steelworker. (Or "man of steel" depending on how sycophantic one is.) So yeah, dude changed his name to sound like a comicbook character. Kinda sad if you really think about it. Also, steelium doesn't make sense.
@F104Deathtrap Stalin wins with the help of Stalinium. That material can morph into any form of Soviet machinery which, as you know tovarisch, is better than anything kapitalist pigs have created.
@ThePilotDude Yup, takeoff and landing were the worst times. I mean, it always is with any aircraft. But with those 50's jets it was worse because the wings were designed for high speed and didn't have all the fancy slats and swing wings and BLCS and other tricks we use nowadays to make jets easier to control at low speed.
@ThePilotDude Humiliating but very common unfortunately. Thus, my username. I wonder how many German pilots made the same mistake in WW2? A ME-262 would probably crater just as easy as a F-94.
@ThePilotDude Killing yourself in first and second generation jets was surprisingly easy, especially at night up in the mountains. The PO-2 was notorious for slow and low night raids and fighters always had a hard time intercepting them. But yes, quite a humiliation for the USAF.
Thanks for explaining it in the end. it was not like one of those explain videos that are 10 minutes and explains it in the end. i just clicked the link and read the a Little of it and i understand what happened XD
@Pizzaschnitzel Amazingly so.
@F104Deathtrap yea like the bismark and the fairey swordfish biplanes
Yep totally understand @F104Deathtrap
@CRJ900Pilot Sometimes reliability beats cutting edge tech, you know?

@PhantomBladeCorp Stalin mostly just beat up on his own dudes, but I can see your point.
None. Stalin beats both.

True and I just read it was a shooting star but if it was a F3D or Corsair NO WAY@F104Deathtrap

@Bearclaw189 Starfire was just a Shootingstar modified with 2 seats and radar. Definitely wasn't a Meteor.
