Messed Up Stuff in Last Couple Days, I Hate Life.

101k Wallaby  6.6 years ago

I hate life and society, when can I finally leave this world?

1: School shooting in Texas killed 8 people, mostly students. Third school shooting in U.S.A. this week.

2: Bus Crash in NJ killed a student and a teacher. Crash also involved a dump truck.

3: Another bus crash in NYC one day later. This one involved two busses.

4: After a long time of erupting, Hawaii's volcano finally just literally exploded.

5: Plane crash in Cuba killed 100+ people.

15: Burger King Foot Lettuce.

Yeah also society is getting messed up and stuff like that. I really hate my life and I hate society.

There isn’t a simple answer to this. (American) Society may result in school shootings because of their possession of guns, but other societies give funds to charities and do beautiful things for people. Car crashes are simply a side effect of having cars (every innovation carries a side effect) and though some people have died, thousands have lived their dreams in cars doing road trips through idyllic sceneries and beautiful landscapes. A landslide is the result of having luscious green hills, and tsumanis are a result of having relaxing sunny beaches. Nature is indifferent to good or bad, it simply exists. A volcano is just pent-up pressure waiting to release that people have chosen to live next to. Just remember that while there is undoubtedly bad in the world, take a walk, listen to music or draw a picture and realise that the world is a place of complete balance between good and bad.

@Stellarlabs you’re right, it has changed. The people who made it wouldn’t have given up this easily.

@InternationalAircraftCompany yeah that means that there are 34 other nations with much much worse gun violence rates

I agree today’s “entitlement aged” soceiety is really screwed up, but I don’t think anything could prevent a volcano explosion...

    @ForeverPie
And now seriously - why do we see only the bad? "Nothing so happy as the grief of the neighbor". I'm also depressed now, I'm lying on the floor and I'm looking at the ceiling, and I understand that my friends turned out to be typical idiots, that everyone I ever helped with turned away from me now that it's unlikely someone will say to me: - Henry , smile, not all is lost!
I see from my problems only one way out: not to give way to despondency and go forward on the bones of enemies, go straight ahead to what is happiness for you. Go to all the obstacles to spite, go and lead those who want, who needs it, too.
    ...
You can also drink as an option.

@Fred19 @ForeverPie Guys, they've been talking about that stuff for 2,000 years. If it's your firm religious belief that the world is about to end, I won't argue it with you but try and remember that things are much, much less awful for most people today than they once were.

@Stellarlabs if you accept that as the “norm” and just submit you are just as guilty for not striving for a solution. The US is founded upon the notion of “working to form a more perfect union.” Always working to get as close to 100% as we humanly can is what should be the norm. Not just giving up and saying “we’re all f—-ed anyway”
