So, while the Convair 880 was designed as the fastest airliner and it flew faster than contemporary airliners in level flight, it never exceeded the speed of sound. However, little known fact is that the Douglas DC-8 was actually flown supersonic in a dive during a flight test! Can’t wait to see your completed build, though.
@BoeyingOfficial Yep, I am pretty sure that AMerican Airlines (1960s) wanted to buy the plane, but if it flies around now, probably it will be outdated...
The last one was destroyes some time ago. I think I saw a video about it. You could get it for free but you needed to fly the plane yourself to get it of the scrapyard. Nobody wanted to have it so it was demolished. A sad ending for a great plane. @tsampoy
Oh and it seems you know how to colour the engine outtake. Can you pls tell me wich kind of colourcode it is? I googled for colourcode and the only thing that i saw was hexadecimal code but the code here in SP has 2 numbers too much lol

Yep. It was a rushed rip off. Just like every soviet plane. @Jetliner101

Imagine if that airliner was still around 🤔
Worlds Fastest Sub-Sonic airliner
Nice
Keyword is subsonic. Still not the fastest @BaconEggs
@QuickNils Don't mijd the extra 2 digits. For example FAFA96 is the same as FAFA9600
@BoeyingOfficial lol true XD
@Jetliner101 @QuickNils the Tu-144 was faster (and worse).
Hopefully the brown smoke billowing out the engines is of no concern.
Wasnt it the 990 that was the fastest subsonic airliner
