So, this is a sequel to my other 1.8 ideas post, so let’s get started!
First person:
An option that could be toggled in the cockpit of the craft. It would be based off of the first person in Stormworks. It could be used to activate things, like elevators (see next idea.) My thought would be to include it into multi player so we can do passenger transport or things of that matterBetter/more carriers:
First of all, a slightly larger and more scale USS beast. It could have a working elevator with a button (see idea 1) and have a hanger bay. Maybe even a catapult (see idea 12) Second, maybe model it off of the USS Nimitz? And also add more carriers, like a WWII style one or a support/helicopter carrier, all with the button and elevator concept and their own looks.Seats:
Two seats, one military with a toggle eject option, and another for passenger planes (also see idea 1.) They could be painted in 3 ways, the cousion, the backrest, and the head rest.More/better painting:
More color pallets, like maybe an extra row or two. Second, a “matte” and a “Super gloss” option added into the Gloss, Semi-gloss, and flat selection. And maybe even decals which could be stock into the game, or built then transferred into a one part decal. Or an option to get pictures online (with restrictions of course)Cannons:
Unmodded cannons for ships or tanks, kinda like mini guns but with an adjustable barrel length and rate of fireMore tire styles:
A rim style setting, for spoked wheels, solid wheels, or wheels that have a fancy pattern in them. On a side note, also tire ridges on the smooth tires, as the look of thisBetter water physics:
Water droplets and rain, ranging from light to heavy
(Maybe snow as well)Boat and helicopter parts:
A default boat propeller and a few helicopter parts
Boat=
- Prop that is 20 inch to 300 inch with 3-6 blades. 100- 20000 horse power for large ships. Would work underwater up to depths or around 100 feet deep
Helicopter=
- Prop that has a maximum of 800 inches with 2-8 blade count
- Winch that could be lowered and raised
- Spotlight
- Tail rotor (like small propeller but without nosecone attached)
More airports:
An international airport such as JFK, complete with runway, taxi, and approach lights, a terminal with 4-5 gates with jet bridges, and a large tower. Also a military airport with a really long dirt or paved runway and a tower.Mini-map:
A small map that shows Ground and Air traffic and land that could be added into the bottom left corner or near the HUDBetter AI:
Better tactics that don’t include going headfirst into battle or other planes in dogfightA few new parts:
- A catapult launch bar to connect to a catapult on the carrier (see idea 2)
- An adjustable light that would be like a fuselage piece
- Electric parts like a propeller, moter, and a battery. Also maybe solar panels
More smoke:
When you touch town (brown for grass and white for runway)
When you quickly apply break
When something hits the water at a fast rate (example)

The devs have already said that SR2 will replace SP...

Remember about a whole new game, however.
I hope their going to transfer all of the cool graphics and physics and parts form SR2 to simpleaplaejs.
This is going to make SimplePlanes better than Kerbak Space Program, XP-11, and Infinite Flight combined.
@DaKraken Adjust thr max velocity and input.
Engines with adjustable acceleration and top speed .. if I make a tank the engine well be weak so it can't climb up thing as good and if it is strong then it would be too fast ..

@StarKnight697 I don't see SR2 as a sequel to Simple Planes, rather a completely different game entirely. I don't see why the developers cannot work on Simple Planes and SR2 after SR2's release.

I'd personally love to see more optimisations, a wider variety of guns, better AI and smoke grenades. Oh and please let us remove the crosshair from cockpits...
@RodWan yeah it is crippeling how Little it uses and also let us anable and disable vsync or the capped framerate.
I think the number one thing I want in 1.8 is MORE MEMORY!!! Let me actually use my 32gb of ram please! Also support for multiple cpu
