Low on ideas?
The nice people over at HUSH KIT have got you covered. In this video, they discuss 10 American planes so awful that you can't possibly mess them up worse than in real life. Take a look and judge for yourself, maybe you'll even find a bit of inspiration.
Fisher XP-75 "Eagle"
Bell YFM-1 "Airacuda"
Convair NB-36
Wright Flyer
Lockheed-Martin VH-71 "Kestrel"
Langley "Aerodrome"
Lockheed XFV-1 "Salmon"
Rockwell XFV-12
de Lackner HZ-1 "Aerocycle"
Christmas "Bullet"
In the next episode we'll explore the amazing failures of the Soviet Union.
@8bitgamer33 I love the Wright flyer, but your claim that nobody would ever make airplanes had the Wrights not done so is ridiculous. That's like suggesting that if the first-place runner in a race hadn't shown up, that no one else would have run. The future is unwritten, and that's how it was for the people of the past as well. Had the Wrights not flown at Kittyhawk, there were plenty of others taking to the sky around that time.
As a matter of fact, the Wright brothers damaged American aviation by ruthlessly suing anyone else who tried to build airplanes in the USA. For a decade the States lagged behind European countries because the monopoly the Wright brothers held.
The Wright Flyer was the FIRST airplane ever built, so don't complain about it. If it didn't exist, this game wouldn't.
@F104Deathtrap ok
Anything made by Douglas is...
@F104Deathtrap Im pretty bias to Douglas too lol
@MrSilverWolf Agreed. But I have Douglas bias, big time. I was also a bit miffed about the guy below him bad mouthing a Grumman plane.
@CursedFlames The Dc-10 was all right, not too bad but not the greatest
DC-10?
Cough Cough trump plane
@FuzzyAircraftProductions I provided a video.
@F104Deathtrap oooooh, no wonder why she was called the widow maker...but that's a great story. thanks for telling
@F104Deathtrap plz provide pics
@AdlerSteiner A very good question! While the F-104 does have a dark history abroad, it was a very capable high altitude interceptor. The first plane capable of mach 2 in level flight, she was a marvel of technology. The ugly stuff didn't happen until Lockheed got greedy marketed her for roles she was never designed for.
What about your name?
wRiGhT fLyEr wAs bAd
@F104Deathtrap
Wh-
What
@Mostly There will be a short quiz before I let you out for recess.
@Stellarlabs Well, like I told Mostly, I agree that the Wright Flyer was pretty good at the time, and it helped the Wrights make planes that were stunningly effective later on. There were other planes that flew better than the "Flyer," but they didn't take off untill several months later.
The video does explain some of that, you should check it out. I am certainly not typing out the list for the next post, people are gonna have to watch the video if they want to argue about the 11 worst planes of the USSR.
@F104Deathtrap I literally just watched the video before I posted that comment, so no, you can't tell. lol
@Botfinder Heheheh. Nice.
What part of "I agree with you" is too much to grasp?
I can also tell that you haven't watched the video because they compare it to planes that were under development that same year.
@Mostly
@F104Deathtrap still don’t understand why it is “bad.” Was the first cartridge using gun a assault rifle? No. Do you really think the first aircraft would be a success? For the time, there would be practically nothing else to compare it to.
@F104Deathtrap You can't compare the first plane ever to more modern age, and much more advanced aircraft. Compared to what we have now, yes, it would be a terrible plane. But it is literally the first plane ever to fly. I think you forgot about that.
idk human @Stellarlabs
@Stellarlabs If I was forced to venture a guess, I'd probably say "Just to piss you off." But I am not of the Sunshine State, nor did I make the list. Watch the video, mendicant.
