Overview
The SPAM system is known to be used by C.A.F and U.S.R as a way of saturating enemy defenses and killing targets with sheer density of fire. The weapon works by carrying an originally claimed 5-10 rockets (Now claimed to be only 4) to a location by a larger missile. Then releasing the 10 rockets onto the target (Unconfirmed to be Guided Rockets). The main tactic of this system is to send a large amount of these SPAM missiles which then would split over the target and rain down a massive amount of fire on the enemy. Described as firing "more rockets in the air than there are bullets to stop it." The weapons are also claimed to be able to match ranges of weapons of equivalent size or even best it.
Evaluation
Evaluation of the system and its launch platforms reveals evidence that counters such claims.
Range is a problem since the SPAM weapons system carries rockets inside which have their own complex systems and fuel within them. Such rockets take up a significant space within the carrier missile. Which results in less space for fuel or other guidance systems. Making them either have less capable guidance systems and/or less range than missiles of similar sizes.
Firepower is a problem due to the size of the missile systems. Each variant varies in sizes for its role. Comparing the sizes of the missiles to known launch platforms. The anti-ship variant of the SPAM missile launched from VLS tubes was claimed to be around the size of a Cleaver, if not larger. Launching 10 rockets from such a missile limits the size of the rockets to only 1.75in rockets. Limiting its capabilities at doing extreme amounts of damage.
Claimed to fire more rockets than bullets to stop them isn't an accurate description. The statement has been disproven due to how CIWS systems can output 4,500 rounds per minute, and the Duet Ak-630 can output 10,000 rounds/min. Assuming the SPAM system launches 10 of said rockets (At Subsonic Speeds), it would require 1,000 Missiles to match the amount of rockets to bullets just to overpower a single CIWS system (Not assuming a single bullet is all that it takes to kill one rocket). Along with how various interception systems such as SM-2 and SM-6 can strike the SPAM missile before it separates.
A ballistic missiles variant of the SPAM system was employed against Avangard Hypersonic Glide Vehicles. The SPAM missile for ABM purposes after an interview with Pyrus, the creator of the SPAM system, is comparable to a slightly improved THAAD. Claims to the effectiveness of the SPAM system state that it's able to intercept the Avangard with ease. The problem with this statement is that Avangards are able to travel faster than the turning angles of a THAAD or SPAM system. Since the THAAD utilizes kinetic kill tactics, and how explosives aren't effective at high altitudes, SPAM isn't an effective system at fighting Avangards. The SPAM system carries more potential at intercepting MIRVs which are significantly more limited than Avangard at movement in their attack phases. THAAD is also an Area Defense weapon, only defending a certain "small" area from Ballistic Missile attacks instead of a larger zone like other ABM systems.
To explain how the efficiency of the SPAM system is as it is, claims were made that the missiles use "Potent fuels, stupidly efficient engines, potent artificial explosives." to explain how the missiles are able to match ranges of missiles of similar sizes and have a large amount of firepower condensed into a small package. Though, an issue with this as it is explained that technology in these fields has progressed significantly over time to where it is. Resulting in missiles of similar size also improving in the process. Resulting in still the SPAM missile being behind other missiles of the era in terms of range and firepower as such a progression in technology would likely not be an isolated event.
Assuming such technologies aren't allowed in the RP the SPAM system is in. The SPAM system work best as a system for destruction of close to medium range light targets. Though the SPAM systems launched from smaller weapons such as Vehicles, Mortars, and potentially from troops are of limited effectiveness due to the very minuscule scale of said warheads carried within.
Assuming the rockets are unguided, in a naval combat situation. Striking a vessel with such a spread out amount of rockets only has a small chance of landing a critical blow on the target.
Due to the large amount of Rockets packed into the missile. Its likely the missile lacks any structural support during the separation stages which would significantly reduce the aerodynamics and balance of the missile when deploying its rockets. Likely causing a spin out or a severe lack of rocket launch accuracy.

@RocCrafter101
@InternationalAircraftCompany It was changed to 4 after most of the evaluation was done. I didn’t want to go through and change every bit.
