I'm just wondering, because I know we do have some pilots here. I'm not very sure if anyone here has ever build and designed their own plane IRL that flew (with a pilot)?
And if so, tell me about the plane, HP of the engine (If it even has an engine) , weight, wingspan, and the overall design concept....
@DerekSP I have a 3b+ on my DJI Phantom for more "DANK" movements", JK not on my Phantom, but I have a Raspberry Pi 3b+ encrypted with Alexa for smart home automation :D
Yes I made my rocket 2 rc plane capable of 102mph 1 of 3 I made 1 burst into flames and the other 2 are my prototypes
Umm, I made a paper plane that flew fairly well.
Well, i did an RC plane twice. The first , a 50cm motoglider, did well, but when i turned on the engine it stalled and was torn apart. The second plane, a 80cm powered one, had crashed once, with no damage.
I've also flown a light plane once with an instructor.
There’s was a 15yo girl that did her 1st solo in her plane. Don’t know if it’s her own design
Nice @XjayIndustrys
I have a rough design but no
It’s a taildragger
It’s got 4 seats a radial in the nose
My own LG design (no retrac)
Slots and Slats in first 2/3 from root
2/3flap 1/3 down deflection only roll control thingos
Straight leading edges on horizontal surfaces
Basic cockpit
Hmmm hm hm
I am the pilot when it’s remote control. I just ain’t sitting in the cockpit and have almost no risk of death if something goes wrong. It is a completely different fillet of fish to full-scale, manned aircraft though @ThePrototype
Nice @DerekSP @LiamW well, I'm talking about planes that have a pilot.....
Taps @DerekSP
A drone with a Raspberry Pi Zero and a GSM module so I can control it anywhere via the Internet. A big drone, over a meter wingspan. Note that it performed its last flight about a month ago when it lost reception, the autopilot failed to kick in, and the entire thing got shredded into oblivion by trees
Do high-performance R/C quadcopters count? How about R/C planes?
