If you adjust the sensitivity of the rotation thing on iOS, if you for example set it at 25%, and rotate the part, at maximum, it should rotate to exactly 45*. But it doesn’t it rotates between +/- 1 degree. This means if you want to do an exact rotation, it’s very annoying because you can’t get it precise.
I can’t believe this bug has been overlooked for so long!!! Come on Jundroo!
Proof that it is actually rotating incorrectly and it’s not just the numbers showing wrong readings:
PS: This bug came on the 1.7.4 update on iOS. (Not sure about android).
Is not on the PC version
Ho thank you, when 1.8 it released ?@AndrewGarrison
@andrewgarrison you have no clue how happy I am because of these changes, many thanks for improving the UI and ease of use <3
YES!!! @AndrewGarrison
Over long distances it starts to get a bit off. @AndrewGarrison
@jamesPLANESii My goodness 6 decimal places isn't enough? That's down to micrometers!
Wow i think I'll use the in-game Fine tuner more often once it gets added to the game, also thanks for tag @AndrewGarrison keep up the good work and stay well.
With the nudge increment thingy, I don’t think it should be a number you type in. I think it should stay as a slider, but instead of just having the increments being 5, there should be set increments. They should be
5% sensitivity
10% sensitivity
25% sensitivity
50% sensitivity
100% sensitivity
200% sensitivity
400% sensitivity
I feel having the type in thing would make people go crazy because there are only 6 decimal places and that isn’t enough for precise nudging. 6 decimal places doesn’t even give enough digits for the default nudge increment. It will surely drive me insane. @AndrewGarrison
So is the way the parts rotate more like hoe they rotate in the fine tuner mod now? @AndrewGarrison
@DemonSniper8 Yep, it now allows manual entry and you can tweak the Rotation Amount so that you can click the < and > buttons to increment or decrement by any value you want.
@jamesPLANESii @DemonSniper8 This problem was specific to iOS, but the rotation sliders were a bit of a strange UI for this, so I've reworked it so that you can either use the sliders to rotate or enter angles in manually. The sliders no longer revert back to the middle, but rather stay at their respective position (ie: rotation 0 is in the middle, 180 is all the way to the right and -180 is all the way to the left).
Ooh, thanks for the tag.
Oh yay! Does it still rotate in the same fashion as it did before? @AndrewGarrison
The part transform tool will be improved in 1.8. Here's a screenshot.
@Caveman999 @AstleyIndustries @FastDan @Roswell @BaconRoll @FOXLOVER @DemonSniper8 @Paper @ForeverPie @asteroidbook345
There hasn’t been an update in several months so no it hasn’t been fixed. The devs say they’re gonna fix it in 1.8. @asteroidbook345
@jamesPLANESii
OOF
But when you don’t have access to your PC, like you’re on the bus to school for instance. @JohnnyBoythePilot
yes I hate that
If you have PC just use fine tuner.
I get this bug on the PC version with 100% sensitivity all the time. I have to manipulate the part twice.
Change the rotation sensitivity to 49%. That worked for me.
Excuse me what, I can just change the drag on iOS?@jamesPLANESii
You can scale the drag. @Viper28
Yessss, this bug and when the game thinks one side of a plane has more drag than the other even after mirroring
OMG ITS NOT JUST ME!!!! @jamesPLANESii
@AndrewGarrison one other thing, can we get vertical slide bars on the building menus? And on the part settings and nudge menus? Please? It'd make life SO much easier for a lot of us
