I just wonder this because more and more players are leaving SP for SR2 and it would just be saddening if most of the site becomes dormant because I can't wait for SR2 either but I also love SP alot and seeing the users that help each other out and collaborate on builds and lift each other up (most of them anyway) it would be depressing to see a fantastic community just disappear
I like SR2 but I don't think I'll buy it, particularly as I already have KSP.
I am not too sure if SR2 would be able to dethrone Kerbal Space Program, let alone SP. Building spacecraft in SR2 seems more detailed but it is KSP's career/campaign mode that make it stand out, it gives you something to work for. It's all nice to build stuff but it gets boring if you can't use them for a meaningful gameplay purpose. SP's game world being populated with AI craft for combat and interaction gives it a similar edge over other games of the same type, which tends to have empty game worlds devoid of life and activity.
EDIT: I may be wrong, saw this on the SR2 Q&A: "Q. Why am I seeing a price there?
A. We are planning a campaign mode, though we still need to work out the details quite a bit."

I love aviation (planes), I like space ships too, but I got in to this community for planes. That’s means I’m hear to stay, but I might also do SR2. I plan on keeping this community alive and seeing people leave only makes me sadder. I also try to make people happy by giving planes upvotes that don’t need them, like noobs if you will. In SR2, we will all be noobs, so I can’t help any one really. But, I will be active in both games if I can.

Well since I highly doubt that sr2 will work on my telephone I will always have SP on my phone to dabble with in my free time, which of course will give me a reason to keep going back to the PC version to finish it. Even though I'll be doing simplerockets 2 on PC.
I'll play both. Jundroo has not disappointed me, so I will try out SR2.
I'm not really a rocket guy (ik you can make more than rockets, just look at this game...) so i will stay here, maybe i will buy sr2 as some Point but as of now i will stay here

I’m just gonna make planes in sr2, even if I need to put rockets on it. So SR2 will bassicaly be an upgrade for me.
Since i'm a car builder, there's not so much potential for me there.... But maybe i'll try it out and do stuffs there as well, and i'll mainly stay here...
