The new update is not compatible with my computer and i wont be able to get a new one for a very long time and i cant update my OS.
Ive talked to Andrew garrison and he took the time to look at the problem which i greatly appreciate him taking the time to do

Are you not able to update to OSX 10.10? You can also try downgrading SimplePlanes to the 1.7 branch in the BETAS tab in the Steam client's Properties window for SimplePlanes until you are able to update to OSX 10.10."
I love this game to death and it really helped me through a tough spot and i dont hold it against anyone, this game has a great community and i love it so much, ironically helicopters were my favorite thing to build before the new update, Jundroo has amazing people on their team and i really am sad that i wont be able to see more of this game, this game had to have been one of the top 10 most important things to me and still is so im heartbroken its gone. love y'all!

Andrew told me to contact him and the way to fix the game for my platform is beyond his control so he offering to give me a steam giftcard even though i never expected or asked for one!!! Holy moly i love these guys and i love this game

sorry you have to leave, I've been inactive for. . . let's see, 11 months now? (atleast not posting, I forgot.) anyways, I love(d) your builds, and will miss the frequent helicopters and misc other things popping up in my jet stream. . . (wish this worked on the SP website, but here we go, if anyone here uses steam, then :steamsad: . . . ) anyways, :(

I'm in the same situation.
can't build helicopters anymore so I started building ships.
Hopefully the next update doesn't come soon.

@Gravity Yes, you can now select older versions of SimplePlanes through the BETAS tab in the Steam properties window for SimplePlanes.
@AndrewGarrison there's this game called space engineers, and on steam they have the option to play the game on a previous version from ~2016 for people who only support DirectX 9. Is there any way of doing something like this for him so he can play simpleplanes on the last version?

I love Jundroo. They listen to players, you can easily contact them, they still release updates for a 4 year old indie game and they care for the players. These are things you don’t normally see anymore. Absolutely love them.
Could you give more info of what is broken etc, I might be able to find a solution online. Even though the chance is much smaller than the devs finding a solution.
