I had a really funny thing happen with the torpedo
so I was attacking the uss beast and had one torpedo bounce off the side of the deck of the beast go under it and hit the destroyer I then used them like bombs

I was torpedoing the USS Tiny in a TBF when I accidentally dropped one while turning with the rudder, the torpedo was going to the USS Tiny when it was turning and bounced off the hull
