I recently made a bomber inspired by the WS-110A (XB-70 Predecessor) especially by the "floating panel" drop tanks that were so large they required a pair of wings themselves.
I tried to create something similar to them on by Snel-9 "Akrobat" and it's prototype, but the tanks kept flopping around and colliding with the plane. Is there any way to hold the tanks in place with a pylon or ejector so that I don't have to have them as a permanent part of the plane?

Use detachers with an Activation group.
