Progress
The Light-Bender has taken flight, reaching a top speed of 2400 mph on scramdrive power. The pilot described the aircraft as overall easy to fly, but suffers from minor buffeting at Mach 3 and a high landing speed. The aircraft, according to the test crews, is manoverable enough to serve as a fighter and should be put into mass production.
As of now only five aircraft are to be built. The first will act as the primary test aircraft, with the second aircraft going for the world air speed record. The third aircraft will be the prototype of a possible fighter version and the last two will be sent to possible military buyers of the fighter model.
