I only make weapons and usually I make Fictional ones. Replicas are perfect if you are up for a challenge making it as accurate as possible. Fictional builds will let your imagination out and expresses what you want.

Fictional cause I hate having to follow guidelines. I like having freedom with my designs.

Replicas, But only if you do them well. There is no point in making a 50 part replica that has barley any resemblance to the real thing, if you make replicas the use the Designer suite mod to get a perfect or at least near perfect shape.

@Griffinthedragon really great planes, especially your sharptooth, nice biplane. It is shame that the community only votes for replicas.

Fictionals based on real stuff.

Fictional. like %90 of all my builds are Fictional.

Fictional, theres way to many replicas, unless you make a replica of something interesting that not many people know about

Fictional. Gives me more creative freedom, and I never liked to build realistic anyway. Pushing the limits of this game’s physics is fun.

Fictional. Why: bc build a fictional plane is more nice u dont need to close game and look/search pictures 3 hours only to get the good angle

My fictional builds are not 100% fictional. They sometimes reflects to real cars a little bit which i used for inspiration. And my replica builds are not 100% replicas, because i like to do little twists on them, to express my style. I like to build fictional stuffs more, but all i want to say you can keep it balanced...

@jamesPLANESii It takes me longer to make a fictional build. Because I have to concern about almost every single tiny part. ofc I refer many forms of real things, however It takes a hell of a long time to thinking. What does that part function in real plane? Does it have proper shape in my build? Is the position appropriate? Nevertheless, thinking like that is the most amusing part when playing SP. When I building replica I just pasting things and it's not fun to me.

Only rear replicas witch are build with an exemplary innovation, otherwise original designs. Really i think that all this replica mania is just lack of imagination. Also sp is a fantastic program to shape a new creation...

Both. Replicas are good because you get to work out what systems look like and what shapes are on real planes, and fictional aircraft are good because they’re much faster to build and you have lots of freedom over the designs.

Replicas. I'm not creative enough to make good fictional builds.

Fictional. To me, making replica is boring. Just fitting the blueprint, specs, and there's no fun factors of create something. Just playing with other user's replica build is enough.
