If you get some chickens, put the, in a coop with hoppers on the floor. Make the hoppers run to a chest so you can easily collect the eggs. Then sell the eggs to a farmer; he’ll buy them at level 3 I believe.

Make an M-134 Minigun. Use a Redstone Clock to power 4 dispensers, all filled to the brim with Instant-Damage II Arrows. Connect it to a lever, double click it really fast, and you'll have a working firing mechanism! Just build the Minigun body around it, and it should work nicely! Click
destroy some innocent terrain and then smoothen the remains of the terrain and then add a roof and a trapdoor and BAM youve got a big underground house
edit: also you could make a big ol fence with zombies as guards (keep zombies in place)
