Informative Components
This mod contains four parts that can be used to make aircraft HUDs, screens, and instruments.
Note: The Source Code button is a link to the GitHub repository containing the assets.
NO ANDROID (this mod contains scripts)
PARTS
Numeric Text Display: Shows the numeric output of an Input Controller. The output format can be selected using some options.
Formatted Text Display: Shows a line of text. May optionally show the numeric output of the Input Controller, or of additional Text Display Extra Input blocks. Make sure to choose the correct output type for the format you wish to use.
Ring Display: Shows a ring of defined thickness. The ring can be radially filled using an Input Controller. The fill starts from the top, and the direction is based on the sign of the value of the Input Controller.
Square Display: Shows a square/rectangle. The square can be set to fill using an Input Controller, starting from the bottom.
[New in 1.1] Histogram Display: Shows the histogram of an input. This is the only display that doesn't rely on Canvas renderers. Deactivate the Activation Group to pause the scrolling of the histogram.
[New in 1.1] Text Display Extra Input: Additional inputs for the Formatted Text Display. Make sure to use the same "Channel". Smaller Format Order inputs are placed first.
Known quirks and issues:
- Inner circles of rings sometimes consume other rings. You have to play around with part positioning and maybe sorting orders to prevent this. Other parts are not affected.
- Parts may sometimes appear behind glass or spinning propellers, even when they are in front. If this happens, increase the sorting order of the part to 1 or higher. You can also force the parts to be obscured by setting the sorting order to -1 or lower.
- Parts have "unlit" characteristics (i.e. not affected by light conditions) so they are not suitable for external markings.
210812 > Version 1.1.1 (ninja update)
- [Change] Removed text spam during Update()
210522 > Version 1.1
- [Addition] Multi-Input System for Formatted Text Displays, using Text Display Extra Input blocks.
- [Addition] Histogram part.
- [Change] Formatted Text Displays are no longer formatted in the designer.
REFERENCE
COMMANDS
ListFontNames: Outputs the names of all fonts installed on your device (example output). Installed fonts may be used in text displays, as an alternative to the fonts bundled with the mod.
DebugCanvasHitboxes: Toggle hitbox visibility of the modded parts. Useful for making sure the correct part is selected. Running this command also counts the number of parts of this mod (excluding Text Display Extra Input parts) in the scene.
FONTS
Fonts are listed according to how the selector scrolls through them. Each built-in font has a unique ID to prevent clashing with their standard counterparts, should they already be installed. Note that you can use your own fonts by entering their names, if they are installed.

DEMOS
Learn how to use the parts with demonstrator builds. More may be added over time.
AcesHUD: Wasp | Hellkeska
An Ace Combat-style demo interface with throttle bar, enemy/weapon range bar, flight telemetry, and weapon counters. As this is meant to be a simple demo, some things that would be too complicated weren't included.
CPS Test: Download
A simple program. Note that the program would still run without mod parts, the parts are used to provide a graphical interface.
V1.1 Demonstrator: Download
A simple aircraft using new features added in Version 1.1 of the mod.

"It's a mystery to me why the developers of SP don't pick up such good and valid ideas and include them in the next releases. SP seems to have stagnated, especially in comparison to the year 2010 or similar versions. 😏
Considering that I like SP better, I wonder if they could take a look at JUNO, which is developed by the same team. Technically, JUNO is more up to date being from 2023, but SP still has a much larger community.
Therefore, it remains a mystery to me why SP has not undergone a major overhaul yet."
lol C# is the worst of C and the worst of Java in 1
