DARKBLUE is a program that accesses the SimplePlanes sky and modifies a few parameters according to your aircraft's altitude. As you climb, clouds disappear and the sky darkens.

- [Addition] Added automatic activation. This happens 3 seconds after entering the level, excluding pause menu time, so the weather can be selected before then.
- [Change] Sea level sky brightness now matches the default in SP 1.11
- Remember to delete the old version, as file names may be different.

Commands Reference
DarkBlueAutoAltitude ()
Toggles the automatic simulation mode using the active camera's altitude. Automatic mode is enabled by default.
DarkBlueSetAltitude (float altitude)
Manually sets a fixed altitude to simulate.
Manual entries are overridden by auto mode, so disable it before using this command.
- altitude Altitude in meters.
Notes
- The Source Code download option is a link to the repository containing the assets. The control script can be viewed from there. You can learn reflection too!
- The sky darkening and cloud cover equations are arbitrary and may not reflect real life.
- Works best with day/night and any weather that isn't overcast or foggy. Color and light effects aren't simulated with my current model.
- The effect isn't perfect, it looks a bit too gray

- stars not appearing is a limitation of the built-in sky (it's semi-realistic, i guess). Changing to night can't be done naturally since the sun/moon/stars will move suddenly
- curve of the earth is not possible with only sky editing
Add stars when you get high enough and if you get really high you should be able to see the curve of the earth
