A map where I made the mountains and forests myself. The playable area is small as the map was meant to be a car map, but it was deemed to be unfeasible due to the terrain settings. It is still a nice backdrop for screenshots.
Features:
- 16km square terrain
- Approximately 4m cell length on heightmap (still too large for a car map... unless?)
- At least 3 trees
- Nacchan finally learnt how to add fog
Bonus contents:
Trees by Texture
A simple Unity Editor program to place trees according to the terrain's splatmap. At its current state, this script will remove any trees that have been placed manually, so it may not be suitable for some projects.
- There are no error handling or timeout features. An infinite loop is possible if the chosen texture is not used enough.
- Note that Editor scripts must be surrounded with the
#if UNITY_EDITOR .. #endif
preprocessor directive. This will prevent the mod builder from trying to include it in the mod, which will throw an exception during the build process. - The Unity forums has talk about scripts that can do this and more on the Asset Store, but I couldn't find any of them myself.

Unused buildings
Built in SP. Textures from SP models don't work (as of 1.12.128.0), but each part can still be recolored in Unity, as long as there is only one color per part. The buildings may or may not be used in the future.

@windshifter1 it depends whether you want people to be able to recreate your mod, or how much you want to let people learn from it
Also, if your mod doesn't use non-standard libraries, you can just copy the contents of Assets to a new project and it should work
Lastly, consider the type of file hosting you use. Maybe it doesn't like massive uploads
@hpgbproductions Just the assets folder? Not the full project folder? Isn't there other parts necessary to recreate the mod, like the scripts and other unity data?
@windshifter1 yep, copy the Assets folder, or you can choose to only upload the c# files

@hpgbproductions Someone asked me (for my map mod) to make available the source code, but I have no idea what it actually is or how to get it. Seeing as you have done it here, could you please tell me what I need to do?
